At May 5, 2011 TNA Impact wrestling event, the phenomenal teamed up with Christopher Daniels to face Bully Ray and Gunner in a tag team match but Tommy Dreamer attacked AJ Styles to tell wrestling world, he is joining in Immortal to save his job in TNA Wrestling indirectly to protect his family. Even Tommy Dreamer does not wish to reveal actual reason of his last week attack on AJ in May 12, 2011 Thursday night. However, AJ Styles seriously considered his last week actions and challenged Dreamer a match for TNA Sacrifice and Tommy accepted his challenge. On same night, AJ and Tommy Dreamer both made as personal fight in 25 man battle royal.

Result: Buly Ray attacked A.J Styles and Tommy Dreamer utilized opportunity and defeated AJ Styles.
