Anderson Vs Matt Morgan for #1 contender at TNA Genesis 2011
At Final Resolution 2010 pay per view, Anderson was appointed as match referee for World heavyweight championship match between Matt Morgan and Jeff Hardy. However, due to Eric Bischoff’s involvement, Anderson was seriously injured and Jeff Hardy successfully retained his TNA World Heavyweight Championship title. At December 9, 2010 Impact event, Matt Morgan claimed a rematch against Jeff hardy. However, Eric Bischoff knew Anderson also deserves title shot. So, Eric Bischoff decided to conduct a wrestling match which is a #1 contender match between Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson at Genesis 2011.
On December 16, 2010 at Impact, Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson were failed as a tag team partners against Jeff Hardy and Kazarian and blamed each other. Mr. Anderson was medically cleared by doctors as per video conference at December 23, 2010 Impact event. Similarly he attended to December 30 Impact event and had a argument with Mick Foley and Matt Morgan but defeated by Matt Morgan and Devon in a tag team main event on same night.
The Blueprint locked his challenger head to start this match officially, received two punches into his stomach but delivered a clothesline to Mr. Anderson. After that Anderson applied head lock and tried to give clothesline but Blueprint was on his feet. After that Matt Morgan slammed him, did a mistake by dropping his leg and received clothesline from his challenger. Anderson kicked on his challenger’s leg, punched him after some time but received a powerful punch from Matt Morgan. Morgan continued dominating his challenger with head butt, boot shot; hit his face with one corner and then powerful clothesline in opposite corner and also sidebar slam.
Mr. Anderson escaped from Morgan’s boot but Morgan’s leg was seriously damaged due to ring ropes and then fell down onto floor with pain. After that he hits Morgan with security wall but caught to morgan and received a steel ring pole shot on his back. However, Anderson seriously damaged knee of Morgan from behind, seriously damaged injured leg in several ways and Morgan fights for his leg. The blueprint blocked his challenger’s hand punches and gave powerful punches to him.
Matt Morgan chock slammed Mr. Anderson powerfully and then powerful clotheslines but received Anderson’s finishing move. Both wrestling superstars did not want to lose this match and showed their best by exchanging punches. Matt Morgan delivered a boot shot to him but Anderson pinned him after some time. Anderson became new #1 contender of TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
