After four years, WWE Smackdown general manager brought back King of the ring concept and arranged King of the ring ring qualifying matches in Smackdown editions. Booker T and Bobby Lashley qualified to King of The Ring. World Wrestling Entertainment arranged King of The Ring finals match at Judgment Day 2006.

Booker T

• Booker T defeated Matt Hardy in first round of King of the ring qualifying match.
• Unfortunately, Kurt Angle was failed to face Booker T due to lack of fitness. Booker T directly entered into King of the ring finals.

Bobby Lashley

• Booker Lashley defeated Mark Henry in first round and then Finlay in semi finals of King of the ring qualifying match, and finally entered into 2006 King of the ring finals.

Bobby Lashley dominated Booker T with his power game but made a mistake by hitting to steel ring pole. Later, Booker T used this advantage and well dominated Bobby Lashley. Booker T’s wife Sharmell enjoyed her hunband’s domination by standing at outside of the ring. Sharmell diverted concentration of Bobby Lashley. Both wrestling superstars strongly decided to win this wrestling match. Suddenly, Finaly came and attacked Bobby Lashley with shillelagh. Booker T well used this opportunity and defeated Bobby Lashley through pin fall. Booker T became King Booker T. King Booker T and Sharmell celebrated their victory with wrestling fans. Bobby Lashley speared King Booker T with frustration.
