Just before of this match, Mr. Anderson became new #1 contender of TNA World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Matt Morgan. However, Eric Bischoff added a championship match between Mr. Anderson and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy surprisingly to Genesis 2011 pay per view. Jeff Hardy attended to this event by underestimating new #1 contender. Due to heavy pressure in last match, Mr. Anderson was unable to stand on his feet before starting of this match and TNA World Heavyweight Champion attacked him to start this match officially.

At Final Resolution 2010 pay per view, Anderson was appointed as match referee for World heavyweight championship match between Matt Morgan and Jeff Hardy. However, due to Eric Bischoff’s involvement, Anderson was seriously injured and Jeff Hardy successfully retained his TNA World Heavyweight Championship title. At December 9, 2010 Impact event, Matt Morgan claimed a rematch against Jeff hardy. However, Eric Bischoff knew Anderson also deserves title shot. So, Eric Bischoff decided to conduct a wrestling match which is a #1 contender match between Matt Morgan and Mr. Anderson at Genesis 2011.

As per the stipulation of triple threat World Heavyweight championship at Bound for Glory 2010 pay per view, he should win the match otherwise he should retire from professional wrestling. At October 14, 2010 Impact event, Kurt Angle would like to about his retirement but seriously attacked by Jeff Jarrett surprisingly. AJ Styles holds TNA Television Championship title for 145 days exactly but lost his title to Douglas Williams at At TNA Final Resolution on December 5, 2010. However, the Phenomenal AJ Styles claimed a rematch but unable to win Iron man television championship match against Douglas Williams. However, Eric Bischoff offered another championship match to AJ Styles under one stipulation for Genesis 2011 pay per view. If AJ Styles loses to Douglas Williams once again, he will be fired from Fortune and Immortal.

They decided to retire from professional wrestling by defeating Motor City Machine Guns in a championship match at Turning Point 2010 pay per view. However they lost their last tag team match to Motor City Machine Guns. At November 11, 2010 Impact event, Brother Ray attacked Devon with no reason by considering about their failure.

On July 11, 2010 at Victory Road pay per view, Motor City Machine Guns Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin won vacated TNA World tag team champions by defeating Beer Money, Inc and successfully proved as best world tag team champions forever by retained their tag titles in several matches. At the same time, Beer Money, Inc hunts for tag titles opportunity. Finally, Beer Money Inc became new #1 contender of tag titles by defeating Ink Inc. on December 5, 2010 at Final Resolution main event.

On December 5, 2010 at Final Resolution, Mickie James seriously attacked by Madison Rayne in a serious falls count anywhere match with Tara and lost that match mainly due to Madison Rayne. She meet Madison Rayne in a TNA Knockouts tag team championship match but lost that match in December 16 Impact event. However in December 30, 2010 Mickie James stripped Madison’s dress in front of wrestling fans but lost six knockouts tag team match in January 6, 2011 Impact event, in this match Madison Rayne is one of the opponents.

At December 16, 2010 Impact, Jay Lethal became new TNA X Division Champion by defeating Robbie E. In December 23, 2010 Thursday night Impact event, Kazarian became new #1 contender of TNA X Division Championship by winning fatal four way #1 contender’s match and attacked TNA X Division Champion Jay Lethal in December 30 Impact event. At January 6, 2011 Impact event, Fortune and Immortal members attacked Jey Lethal but saved by Rob Van Dam. On same night, Kazarian wants to meet Jay Lethal at Genesis 2011 pay per view after shaking hand with X Division Champion.
