At April 11, 2011 Monday night Raw, John Cena issued a challenge to WWE Champion Miz to arrange a WWE Championship match for his WrestleMania 28 opponent The Rock but Randy Orton deserved the WWE Championship title shot than John Cena because of Cena’s failure against Miz at WrestleMania 27 pay per view. John Morrison also demanded a championship match for a small change but Vickie Guerrero said, her boy friend Dolph Ziggler also deserved the title shot. Similarly, R Truth decided to go to main event for WWE title because he does not even participate in a championship match on any show.

The 2011 Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio faced WWE World Heavyweight champion Edge in a championship match at WrestleMania 27 pay per view but unable to defeat Edge. After their match, Christian and Edge damaged his $1,20,000 USD car with a steel rod. Similarly, edge brought his car to April 8, 2011 Friday night event and mocked him. After that Del Rio demanded a rematch but edge would like to offer title shot to Christian. However, Smackdown General Manager conducted #1 contender’s match between Alberto and Christian and Del Rio successfully defeated Christian to become new #1 contender of Edge’s title and reserved a ladder match for world title at Extreme Rules 2011 pay per view.

As we already know, at WrestleMania 27 on April 3, 2011, Jerry Lawler defeated Michael Cole with special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin’s support but anonymous Raw General manager disqualified Jerry Lawler because of miss using of Stone Cold power. However in April 11, 2011 Raw event; Jerry Lawler decided to face Michael Cole in a rematch at Extreme Rules, defeated Jack Swagger to choose match stipulation but Michael Cole slapped Jack Swagger and Jack Swagger was not happy with Michael Cole and decided to take retribution. Jerry Lawler utilized this opportunity by announcing a tag team match by including Jack Swagger as Cole’s tag team partner and Jim Ross as his tag team partner for Extreme Rules 2011.
Michael Cole and Jack Swagger defeated Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler in Country Whipping match.
The Cody Rhodes once again built story for another greatest wrestling match against the high flying Rey Mysterio for Extreme Rules wrestling pay per view. As we already know that Rey Mysterio accidentally damaged Dashing Cody Rhodes’s nose because of 619 through his knee protector. After that Dashing Cody Rhodes was unable to participate in Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber pay per views because of same damage but covered his face with a protective mask and faced Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 27 pay per view on April 3, 2011 and successfully defeated him to get retribution.

At Friday night wrestling entertainment program Smackdown on April 2, 2010, Cryme Tyme lost their tag team wrestling match to R Truth and John Morrison in only few minutes. After that wrestling match, Shad Gaspard blamed JTG and attacked him by forgetting their long friendship. Shad Gaspard became very serious and tried to attack JTG in almost all wrestling match. Finally, these two Cryme Tyme members decided to face each other. WWE arranged a strap match between these two professional wrestling superstars at extreme rules 2010.
