WWE Champion Triple H teamed up with Shane McMahon and Batista to face Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in a six man tag team match for WWE Championship at Backlash 2009. Triple H, Batista and Shane McMahon attacked Randy Orton before this match. Triple H and Randy Orton went to outside.Only Triple H returned to ring. Match referee ordered Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to start this match without Shane McMahon.Batista selected Cody Rhodes and started this match officially. Batista well handled Cody Rhodes. Later, Shane McMahon and Triple H destroy Cody Rhodes.

Ted DiBiase comes into action with Triple H. Similarly, Shane McMahon joined with Ted DiBiase. The Animal Batista comes into action wtih Ted DiBiase. Batista dominated Ted DiBiase and then Cody Rhodes with vertical suplex. Ted DiBiase and then Cody Rhodes continuously kicked Batista. Batista surprised both of them with powerful destruction. Randy Orton returned to ring and attacked Batista by injuring with steel ring pole. Randy Orton joined with Batista. Cody Rhodes joined with Batista. Legacy handles Batista with chea shots. Randy Orton damaged neck of Batista.

Ted  DiBiase enter into ring to face Batista but Batista well handled three of them. Randy Orton joined with Batista when Batista tried to give tag to Triple H. Randy Orton continued destruction. Batista speared Randy Orton very seriously. Cody Rhodes and Shane McMahon come into action by receiving tags. Shane McMahon well handled Cody Rhodes and threw to outside of the ring. Shane McMahon attacked Ted DiBiase. Later, Randy Orton  threw Shane McMahon over steel steps. Randy Orton joined with Shane McMahon and continued his domination.

Ted DiBiase joined with Shane McMahon again. After some work, Randy Orton comes into action with Randy Orton and drop kicked Shane McMahon. Ted DiBiase once again joined and kicked him.Ted DiBiase did not chance to Shane McMahon and Cody Rhodes joined with Shane McMahon. Ted DiBiase injured Shane McMahon with his performance. Shane McMahon surprised Ted DiBiase with DDT. Triple H joined with Randy Orton with emotional wrestling performance. Triple H eliminated Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase to outside. Cody Rhodes gave steel chair shots to Shane McMahon and Batista. Randy Orton defeated Triple H through pin fall and become new WWE Champion.

Backlash is yearly professional pay per view. World Wrestling Entertainment presented Backlash 2009 at Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island with WWE Raw, Smackdown and ECW brands. WWE highlighted this wrestling  pay per view with seven greatest wrestling matches. 8,500 wrestling fans directly enjoyed this wrestling pay per view.

On Raw edition on April 20, 2009, Rated R Superstar attacked John Cena with spear at the end of John Cena’s match with Chris Jericho. Edge seriously damaged head of WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena’s head with powerful steel chair shot and counted 10 numbers. Edge showed preview of Backlash’s last man standing match. Edge announced himself as new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

The new #1 contender John Cena finally got a change to face WWE Champion Brock Lesnar for WWE Championship at wrestling pay per view Backlash 2009.
