On December 4, 2009 in Smackdown, Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix and Natalya in a triple threat #1 contender’s match and reserved a championship match with WWE Women’s champion Michelle McCool. After that, Michelle McCool and Layla used to mock Mickie James by calling her as Piggy James. Similarly, they also seriously injured Mickie James with the help of Beth Phoenix by damaging her face with cake and juice in previous wrestling edition.
Mickie James did not to appear in any Smackdown edition. However, WWE conducted WWE Women’s Championship match between Mickie James and Michelle McCool at Royal Rumble 2010. At TLC 2009 wrestling pay per view, Sheamus became new WWE Champion by defeating John Cena in a Tables match. However, Randy Orton successfully became new # 1 contender by defeating Kofi Kingston and John Cena in a triple threat match on January 11, 2010 Raw. However, Sheamus attacked Randy Orton with a boot shot after Randy Orton’s match with Chris Masters on January 18, 2010 Raw. Similarly, Randy Orton took revenge by attacking Sheamus with RKO during Sheamus’s match with John Cena on January 25, 2010 Raw.
Randy Orton finally faced WWE Champion Sheamus in this wrestling main event. Randy Orton surprised WWE Champion with his amazing starting. However, Smackdown General manager Theodore Long ordered WWE United States Champion The Miz to face #1 contender MVP in United States Championship match at Royal Rumble 2010. As per the official order, both wrestling superstars were challenged in this wrestling main event.
WWE United States Champion The Miz decided to give good starting to this wrestling match with his game but MVP reversed his game plan by dominating the champion with his wrestling skills. Ezekiel Jackson won ECW Homecoming battle royal on January 12, 2010 ECW edition and became new # 1 contender of ECW Championship and reserved a wrestling match with ECW Champion Christian at Royal Rumble 2010 wrestling main event.
The #1 contender of the ECW Championship Ezekiel Jackson finally faced ECW Champion Christian in this wrestling main event. Ezekiel Jackson gave excellent starting to this match by performing power game. However, he surprised his opponent with amazing wrestling performance. World Wrestling Federation introduced battle royal rumble concept in first ever Royal Rumble 1988. World Wrestling Federation selected 20 wrestling superstars and arranged battle royal as a feature match for this yearly wrestling pay per view. Nikolai Volkoff came with Don Muraco to enter into royal rumble in Don Muraco’s place. However, match referees stopped him temporarily at outside of the ring. In this match, Harley Race argued with match referees to reenter into wrestling ring again.

Matt hardy faced ECW Champion Jack Swagger for ECW Championship at Royal Rumble 2009. Matt Hardy well handled Jack Swagger with hand punches and Jack Swagger tried cheap shot but failed. Matt Hardy did not give chance to Jack Swagger. ECW Champion was unable to stand in front of Matt Hardy and gone to outside. Jack Swagger received punishment. Jack Swagger threw Matt Hardy to outside from top rope.
Jack Swagger worked on Matt Hardy‘s left shoulder and then gave a big boot shot. Wrestling fans encouraged Matt hardy by chanting Lets Go Hardy. The superior hardy tried to control Jack Swagger with closelines and single handed bulldog. Jack Swagger damaged back Matt with back suplex. Once again Jack Swagger worked on Matt hardy’s injured left shoulder.

John Bradshaw Layfield appeared with his manager Shawn Michaels to face WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena for WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Royal Rumble 2009. WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena gave good starting to this wrestling match by locking head of John Bradshaw Layfield. However, JBL also well controlled John Cena with same head lock. John Cena continued his domination. JBL injured head of John Cena with steel steps. JBl gave a close line and continuously dropped his hand over John Cena. JBL increased pressure on his head and sideslam. JBL later damaged shoulder of John Cena with steel steps. JBL lifted John Cena over top rope but John Cena dropped her leg over JBL’s head. John Cena received a boot shot. John Cena exploded and dominated John Bradshaw Layfield. John Cena applied STFU. JBL later gave powerful closeline.

Vickie Guerrero made this wrestling match as no disqualification match. Edge appeared with Chavo Guerrero. Jeff hardy gave good starting to this wrestling match by attacking Edge. WWE Champion Jeff hardy continued his domination with leg and hand punches. Jeff hardy brought a steel chair but kicked by Edge. Jeff hardy drop kicked Edge. Jeff hardy slammed Edge. Jeff Hardy drop kicked Edge and jumped over Edge. However, Edge kicked WWE Champion Jeff Hardy twice.
Edge damaged back of Jeff hardy with security wall. Edge injured Jeff hardy’s with Raw, Smackdown and ECW brand announce tables. Edge kicked into his stomach. Edge speared Jeff hardy and continued his domination. Edge increased pressure on Jeff Hardy’s back. Edge drop kicked Jeff hardy when Jeff Hardy tried to give a cross body from top rope. Jeff hardy speared Edge when Edge brings two steel chairs. Jeff hardy jumped over Edge from top rope. Jeff hardy surprised Edge by giving twist of fate. Chavo Guerrero tried to stop Jeff hardy to jump from top of the ladder.
