WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge faced Chris Jericho in one on one wrestling match at WWE Smackdown on May 15, 2009 as per WWE Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long’s order. Actually, Edge and Chris Jericho insulted each other by stating Smackdown as their show.

Chris Jericho and Rated R Superstar insulted each other before this wrestling match. Both Canadian wrestling superstars slapped each other. Edge made a mistake by hitting steel ring pole. Similarly, Chris Jericho damaged his shoulder with steel ring pole. Later, Edge injured Chris Jericho by throwing over steel steps.

Both wrestling superstars fell from top rope. Chris Jericho and Edge tried to defeat with cheap submission with the help of ring ropes. However, match referee saw it. Edge and then Chris Jericho applied sharpshooter. Match referee disqualified Chris Jericho.
