On January 2, 2009 in Smackdown edition, Festus teamed up with Jesse and faced The Brian Kendrick and Ezekiel Jackson in a tag team match. Festus performed amazing wrestling performance but his knee is seviorly damaged. However, Festus hardly tried to Jesse but lost their tag team match to Ezekiel Jackson and The Brian Kendrick.
