TNA Wrestling presents its seventh annual Genesis wrestling pay per view main event at Impact Wrestling Zone, Orlando, Florida on January 8, 2012 to entertain TNA Wrestling fans. Storyline of this wrestling entertaining pay per view is scripted as per previous Impact Wrestling events and previous annual wrestling pay per view Final Resolution 2011. Similarly, it develops story for Impact Wrestling events as well as next professional wrestling pay per view Against All Odds 2012. TNA Wrestling featured Jeff Hardy in official theme of Genesis 2012 pay per view.

2. Devon defeated D’Angelo Dinero
3. Rob Van Dam defeated Gunner
4. Gail Kim retained Knockouts Championship defeated Mickie James by disqualification
5. Abyss defeated Bully Ray in Monster's Ball match
6. Matt Morgan and Crimson retained world tag team titles by defeating Magnus and Samoa Joe
7. Kurt Angle defeated James Storm
8. Jeff Hardy defeated Bobby Roode by disqualification in a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match
