Mickie James Vs Gail Kim for TNA Women’s Knockouts Championship at TNA Genesis 2012
At December 29, 2012 Impact Wrestling edition, the incharge Sting surprised Gail Kim by ordering her to defend TNA Women’s Knockouts Championship title against Mickie James. However, Gail Kim successfully retained Knockouts title in a great match because of Madison Rayne’s involvement. On January 5, 2012 in a swimming pool, Mickie James saves Traci Brooks from Madison Rayne and Gail Kim; later teamed up with Traci Brooks but lost tag team match. However, TNA Wrestling arranged a TNA Knockouts Championship match between Gail Kim and Mickie James at TNA Genesis 2012 pay per view.

Gail Kim retained TNA Women's Knockouts Championship title by defeating Mickie James by disqualification
