Umaga met WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff hardy in a Steel Cage match at Raw on January 7, 2008. WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff hardy and then Umaga entered into wrestling ring. Similarly, WWE Champion Randy Orton also appeared and sat at outside of the wrestling ring. Umaga gave good starting to this wrestling match by dominating Jeff hardy in this Steel Cage match but Jeff hardy uses every mistake of Umaga. In this match, Umaga hits steel cage. Jeff hardy uses this type of advantages and Randy Orton carefully observe their wrestling performance by standing near to the steel cage.

Randy Orton encouraged Umaga to destroy Jeff hardy. Umaga continued his destruction and WWE Champion Randy Orton is so excited by seeing his domination. Randy Orton threw three steel chairs into wrestling ring for Umaga for further destruction. Jeff hardy well used steel chairs to control Umaga. Jeff hardy later tried to come to outside of the steel cage through door but Randy Orton injured Jeff hardy with same steel door. However, Jeff hardy did not wish to lose this match and jumped over Umaga from top of the steel cage. Jeff hardy defeated Umaga through pin fall and surprised Randy Orton.
