WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena announced a wrestling match with Chris Jericho to send farewell to Chris Jericho at WWE Raw edition on April 20, 2009. Chris Jericho performed frustrating game at the starting of this wrestling match to control John Cena. Chris Jericho continued his wrestling performance. Chris Jericho damaged back of John Cena with suplex and then drop kick. Both wrestling superstars give hand punches each other. John Cena controlled Chris Jericho with shoulder blocks. Chris Jericho surprised WWE World heavyweight champion John Cena with DDT.

Chris Jericho later injured head of John Cena with steel steps. Chris Jericho also damaged face of John Cena with face buster. John Cena played intelligent game by throwing Chris Jericho over steel ring pole. However, Chris Jericho dropped WWE World Heavyweigth Champion John Cena. Chris Jericho injured himself with lionsault. Chris Jericho also surprised John Cena with codebreaker. John Cena successfully dropped Chris Jericho but Chris Jericho did not wish to lose this match. Both wrestling superstars highlighted this wrestling main event.

Later, Chris Jericho applied sharpshooter. John Cena also applied STFU. Chris Jericho gave an enzugiri to John Cena. Suddenly, Edge came and threw both superstars from top rope. Edge attacked John Cena and speared John Cena. Later, Edge seriously damaged head of John Cena with two steel chairs cruelly. Edge said, he is going to unconsious to count out John Cena at Backlash 2009 just like in this way. Edge announced himself as new WWE World Heavyweight champion.
