The official consultant of Smackdown Vickie Guerrero forced smackdown general manager theodore long to conduct an Intercontinental championship match between her new boy friend Eric Escobar and WWE Intercontinental Champion John Morrison in this Smackdown edition. Theodore Long granted only one title opportunity to Eric Escobar.

As per theodore long’s order, John Morrison and Eric Escobar challenged in this wrestling edition. John Morrison gave excellent starting to this wrestling match but diverted by Vickie Guerrero. Eric Escobar used this advantage and seriously injured him. However, John Morrison quickly recovered from injuries.

John Morrison successfully retained his Intercontinental Championship through pin fall. Vickie Guerrero seriously considered his failure and slapped her new boy friend Eric Escobar in front of wrestling fans and returned to backstage.
