On April 7, 2009 in ECW edition, John Morrison and his tag team partner The Miz team up with Tyson Kidd but lost to challengers Carlito, Primo and Evan Bourne.
On April 13, 2009 in Raw edition, John Morrison appeared to The Miz’s match against Kofi Kingston. John Morrison encouraged The Miz but involved in this match. Match referee disqualified The Miz due to John Morrison’s mistake. However, WWE drafted The Miz to Raw brand. John Morrison appreciated The Miz but attacked by The Miz.
On May 17, 2009 at Judgment Day, John Morrison faced Shelton Benjamin in one on one wrestling match. John Morrison also faced Charlie Haas in one moment but defeated Shelton Benjamin.

After this match, John Morrison mocked #1 contender of WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler by stating his name as Dolph Ziggles. John Morrison said to Dolph Ziggler, let us meet at Hell In a Cell.
