On January 31, 2010 at Royal Rumble, Mickie James defeated Michelle McCool in title match to become new WWE Women’s Champion. After that match, he damaged Michelle McCool and Layla with eatable items.

On January 21, 2008 at Monday night Raw edition, Mickie James was defeated by WWE Women’s champion Beth Phoenix.

2009

On February 16, 2009 in Raw edition, Mickie James attacked Santino Marella and Rosa Mendes to support Melina against Beth Phoenix during WWE Women’s championship match.

On April 6, 2009 in Raw edition, Mickie James teamed up with Jillian Hall, Layla, Kelly Kelly and Melina to face Smackdown brand divas Natalya, Gail Kim, Eve Torres, Maria and WWE Divas Champion Maryse in ten diva tag team match. Mickie James defeated Natalya.

On April 13, 2009 in Raw edition, Mickie James teamed up with Kelly Kelly and WWE Women’s Champion Melina to face Michelle McCool, Natalya and WWE Divas Champion Maryse in six diva tag team match. Mickie James started this match but defeated by Michelle McCool.

On May 11, 2009 in Raw edition, Mickie James teamed up with Kelly Kelly to face Jillian Hall and WWE Divas Champion Maryse in a divas tag team match. Maryse attacked Mickie James cheaply but Mickie James defeated Maryse to win this Divas tag team match.

On September 21, 2009 in Raw edition, WWE Divas Champion Mickie James faced Beth Phoenix but defeated by Beth Phoenix. After this match, Mickie James seriously injured by #1 contender of Divas Championship Alicia Fox. WWE Divas Champion Mickie James faced Rosa Mendes and successfully defeated Rosa Mendes on September 28, 2009 Raw edition, After her match, Mickie James gave a warning to Alicia Fox.

On October 4, 2009 at Hell in a cell pay per view, WWE Divas Champion Mickie James met #1 contender Alicia Fox and successfully retained her title by defeating Alicia Fox.
