On July 22, 2007 at Great American Bash 2007, WWE US Champion MVP faced Matt hardy for his title and retained his title as successful US Champion by defeating Matt Hardy.

WWE Tag Team Champion & United States Champion

On October 12, 2007 in Smackdown, MVP and his tag team partner Matt hardy faced Brothers of Destruction Kane and The Undertaker in tag team match but lost to Brothers of Destruction.

2008

WWE United States Champion

On January 27, 2008 in Royal Rumble, the champion faced legendary Ric Flair in a career threatening match but lost to Ric Flair due to finger four lock submission.

On August 17, 2008 at SummerSlam, he defeated Jeff hardy.

2009

On January 2, 2009 in Smackdown edition, MVP appeared without a smile due to some reason. In other words, MVP is not interested to wrestle with a new wrestling superstar whose name is Kizarny. As a wrestler MVP faced Kizarny but lost his wrestling match to Kizarny even though MVP performed excellent wrestling performance. MVP discouraged with his failure. Later, Mr. Kennedy appeared and insulted Montel Vontavious Porter.

On February 27, 2009 in Smackdown, Montel Vontavious Porter attended to Shelton Benjamin’s match as special guest commentator but attacked by Shelton Benjamin with Chavo Guerrero. However, MVP gave a boot shot to WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin.

On March 6, 2009 in Smackdown edition, MVP qualified to Money In The Bank ladder match by defeating Matt Hardy in Money In The Bank qualifying match.

• April 9, 2009 WWE WrestleMania XXV – Money In the Bank Ladder Match

WWE United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) faced best professional wrestling superstars Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Kane, Mark Henry, Finlay, Christian and Shelton Benjamin in Money In the Bank ladder match. Montel Vontavious Porter hardly tried to win this wrestling match but MVP is unable to catch Money In the Bank briefcase.

On April 13, 2009 in Raw edition, World Wrestling Entertainment drafted WWE United States champion MVP to WWE Raw. On same night MVP participated in 15 man tri branded battle royal but eliminated by Mark Henry.

On April 24, 2009 in Smackdown edition, WWE U.S Champion MVP faced Chavo Guerrero and defeated Chavo Guerrero. However, MVP’s celebration interrupted by Dolph Ziggler. Dolph Ziggler wants to introduce himself to MVP’s fan as new WWE U.S Champion in next week Smackdown edition. Montel Vontavious Porter accepted his challenge by raising his title belt over his head.

• August 3, 2009 WWE Raw – Jack Swagger Vs Evan Bourne

Montel Vontavious Porter appeared after a wrestling match between Jack Swagger and Evan Bourne. Jack Swagger completely lost control and used to destroy Evan Bourne. However, MVP saved Evan Bourne from Jack Swagger’s destruction but Jack Swagger escaped intelligently from Montel Vontavious Porter.

On August 31, 2009 in WWE Raw edition, M.V.P is challenged by Chris Jericho and performed good wrestling performance but lost this match to Chris Jericho. However, WWE Raw Guest host arranged a wrestling match for M.V.P with Chris Jericho at Raw edition on September 7, 2009 and MVP defeatd Chris Jericho successfully. Similarly, Montel Vontavious Porter also appeared in this Raw edition after Mark henry’s victory over The Big Show. On September 13, 2009 at Breaking Point 2009. MVP and his tag team partner Mark henry faced Big Show and Chris Jericho for WWE Unified tag team championship. However, MVP and Mark Henry lost their tag team match even though MVP and Mark henry performed most dominanting game.
