Night of Champions 2009
Night of Champions is a yearly wrestling pay per view of World Wrestling Entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment presented Night of Champions 2009 wrestling pay per view at Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 26, 2009. WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and ECW brand wrestling superstars participated in this Champions main event. In this wrestling pay per view, World Wrestling Entertainment conducted 7 champion matches to entertain wrestling fans across the world. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are official commentators for Smackdown brand. Jim Ross and Todd Grisham are official Raw brand commentators.

Match History
Chris Jericho hardly try to search for his tag team partner in order to participate in Night of Champions. During WWE Smackdown on July 24, 2009, Chris Jericho met the big red machine Kane and requested him to join as WWE Unified Tag Team Champion. World Wrestling Entertainment did not present audio conversation but Chris Jericho smiled. Later, Chris Jericho visited Great Khali’s dressing room where Chris Jericho met Great Khali and his manager Ranjin Singh. Chris Jericho requested him to join as one half of tag team champion but Great Khali rejected his proposal.
After this wrestling match, WWE Interviewer Josh Mathews interviewed WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk at backstage about his opponent Jeff Hardy. CM punk does not want to give answer but CM Punk wants to ask a question to audience. CM punk wants to know audience’s response even though CM Punk tells fact about Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy raised their voice and they still decided to support Jeff Hardy. CM punk took microphone and reached wrestling fans. Wrestling fans truly support Jeff Hardy. CM punk does not want to blame any wrestling fan who supports Jeff Hardy.
CM Punk said, people who blame him consider as parents. CM punk sends a message to parents because kids imitate Jeff Hardy’s risky wrestling feats. So, parents should have to guide their kids in proper way. Wrestling fans insulted CM Punk. Once again CM Punk strongly encouraged wrestling fans to make their kids as perfect men just like him. WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk returned to his room.

After this wrestling match, WWE interviewer Todd Grisham appeared with WWE Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho and Big Show at backstage. Todd Grisham congratulated both wrestling superstars. Todd Grisham considered both wrestlers as friends but Big Show corrected him. Big Show said that he is not friend of Chris Jericho because friends could be best tag team partners forever. Big show said it is business. Chris Jericho, the best business is to choose Big Show as his tag team partner.
Chris Jericho stated Big Show as destroyer, War Machine and he is the biggest man in this business and he is his partner. Chris Jericho said, their tag team is better than Hart Foundation, Road Warriors and other any tag team. Big Show said, this team about strength, size and intelligence. Big Show said, they both are going to become most dominant partners. Chris Jericho said thanks to Edge and laughed.

On July 20, 2009 WWE Raw edition, World Wrestling Entertainment conducted a six man tag team match between WWE United States Champion Kofi Kingston, Montel Vontavious Porter, Primo, Carlito, Jack Swagger and Big Show. In that match, Primo, MVP and Kofi Kingston are one side tag team partners and remaining members are opponent tag team. Primo defeated his brother Carlito through pin fall. Primo, MVP and Kofi Kingston won this wrestling match. Big Show seriously reacted and destroyed each and every opponent including his teammates Jack Swagger to give a warning to each and every his opponent. World Wrestling Entertainment replaced Big Show with The Miz in this wrestling event.
After this wrestling match, WWE Interviewer Josh Mathews invited WWE Champion Randy Orton as his guest. Josh Mathews raised his team members Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase failure against Big Show and Chris Jericho in a WWE Unified tag team championship match. Randy Orton said, it is unexpected situation and nobody expects Big Show as tag team partner of Chris Jericho. That’s why Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase failed in that match.
However, he can predict the victory of his WWE Championship match against Triple H and John Cena in this wrestling event. Randy Orton said, may be one day people disresect him, people can cheer Triple H like did for John Cena. However, Randy Orton said that he will remain the WWE Champion today. Randy Orton closed interview and went to his dressing room.

On July 24, 2009 WWE Smackdown edition, Melina met her opponent and WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool at her dressing room area when Michelle McCool talked with her makeup woman. Melina gave a warning to Michelle McCool and damaged her makeup with makeup powder. However, Michelle McCool simply went to her room with frustration.

Dolph Ziggler appeared in Champion Vs Champion wrestling match between WWE Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio and WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk at WWE Smackdown on July 24, 2009. Dolph Ziggler destroyed Rey Mysterio with two Zig Zags. Rey Mysterio is physically dominated by Dolph Ziggler.
