WWE Champion
On January 2, 2012 Monday night live Raw SuperShow, CM Punk was defeated by Dolph Ziggler by count out because of John Laurinaitis’s interference, shocked when Dolph Ziggler celebrates with his title as new WWE Champion, tried to collect his belt from him but unable to catch him, ordered David Otunga to shut his mouth up and met GM Laurinaitis at Raw GM office, scold him frustratingly, further insulted him when GM informs him to defend title against Zigger at Royal Rumble pay per view and appointed himself as special guest commentator for that match.

On April 16 Raw SuoeprShow, he retained his WWE Championship title by beating Strongest man Mark Henry in No Disqualification, No Countout match but discouraged seeing Jericho on screen after that match. He understood that Y2J interested to face him at Extreme Rules pay per view in Chicago Street fight, felt very happy about it, promised him that he would like to beat him in front of his friends and family members at Chicago but discouraged when Jericho disconnected satellite confrontation.
2011
At January 3 Monday night Raw, he proudly introduced himself as newest leader of Nexus, mocked John Cena, after that had a hot conversation with founder of Nexus but anonymous GM allowed either CM Punk or Wade Barrett to participate in steel cage match. However he allowed founder of Nexus to participate in steel cage match but made a gentleman deal with Barrett i.e If Barrett loses triple threat steel cage match then he will be out of Nexus otherwise he will be leader of Nexus forever but attacked Barrett to make him to lose steel cage match and collected nexus badge from Barrett.
On January 10 Raw event, his nexus attacked tag team champions Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov and later he introduced new nexus to WWE Universe and also officially introduced himself as new leader of Nexus. He said, in his leadership new nexus became very stronger than before and best in beating downs. He concentrated on Michael McGilliCutty for initiation and encouraged him to beat Husky Harris. After that in front of him David Otunga slammed McGilliCutty and then each and every Nexus member destroyed Michael McGilliCutty and finally CM Punk delivered GTS to him.
After that he encouraged Husky Harris to receive leather belts shots from him, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and David Otunga for initiation. Similarly, David Otunga showed his initiation by receiving serious punishment from Big Show. However, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater did not show their initiation by rejecting to injure each other with kendo sticks and Punk sent them from Nexus. He tried to fool people by saying he is going to jump from top of the screen for initiation but later quits from it by saying need not prove to people. On same night he accepted John Cena’s challenge to face him in next week Raw.

CM Punk eliminated Daniel Bryan, Chris Masters, Tyler Reks and R Truth individually and also eliminated John Morrison and Mark Henry with the help of Nexus but eliminated by John Cena in 40 man royal rumble on January 30, 2011 at Royal Rumble. At January 31 Raw edition, He requested Orton not to kick Husky Harris on skull but Orton did not listen to him, unable to protect him and failed to catch Orton, later participated in seven man raw royal rumble, hides under the ring by seeing Randy Orton but caught to Randy Orton, received seriously punished and eliminated from Raw rumble by Orton.

He interrupted John Cena’s show, had a serious conversation, defeated John Cena but after main event seriously destroyed by Randy Orton and John Cena in February 14 Raw event.

He faced Rey Mysterio in WrestleMania XXVI rewind match but it was stopped when Cody Rhodes attacks Rey Mysterio at March 25 Friday night Smackdown.
CM Punk lost a match to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 27 on April 3, 2011.
At June 27, 2011 Raw Roulette special event, he interrupted Shawn Michaels' show, mocked him but shocked when HBK delivers sweet chin music to his Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGilliCutty. After that he faces a mysterious opponent Kane but quits from match because of his domination. On same night, he removed table in ring when his Money In the Bank pay per view opponent John Cena performs AA on R Truth but attacked by WWE Champion. He revealed why he dislikes Cena, said he plans to go to either All Japan Pro or Ring of Honor, later insulted Vince McMahon, and also insulted McMahon’s family members Stephanie and Triple H. His microphone was switched off by the WWE as per chairman’s order. He was suspended from WWE by Vince McMahon.
He was reinstated by the Mr. McMahon as per John Cena’s force in July 4 live raw event and attended to July 11 live event and received amazing ovation from fans. He stated the chairman of WWE as his slave, said thanks to John Cena, negotiated Mr. McMahon but did not show interest to sign on WWE contract papers but would like to work in WWE by forcing chairman to sign on his contract papers. He was insulted by WWE Champion later but also insulted champion but received a punch from angry John Cena. He seriously considered Cena’s actions, took his contract papers from chairman and ripped papers to show his frustration.

At July 25, 2011 Monday night Raw, WWE Champion CM Punk returned to WWE and surprised brand new WWE Champion John Cena by returned to World Wrestling Entertainment.
Undisputed WWE Champion
On August 14, 2011 at SummerSlam pay per view, he apologized to John Laurinaitis as per his order but mockingly, later met special guest referee for his match and chief operating officer Triple H’s wife Stephanie McMahon but did not accept her shake hand and wish. On same night he defeated John Cena to become Undisputed WWE Champion but attacked by Kevin Nash surprisingly after his match and lost title to Alberto Del Rio when Del Rio cashes his Money In The Bank contract.
He attended to August 15 Raw edition, confronted Kevin nash, decided to attack Triple H’s best friend but unable to do anything because of security guards but returned to backstage to get permission from COO.

At August 29 Raw live event, he responded to COO when Chief Operating Officer calls Kevin, insulted Triple H, later decided to attack Nash but controlled by COO, then acted he gets vomiting for their drama, forced COO to arrange a match with Kevin and got it for Night of Champions pay per view. He also attended to August 30 Smackdown, insulted Triple H, but impressed COO by telling some facts about company development, later agreed to face Triple H instead of Kevin at Night of Champions, officially signed on contract, after that attacked Kevin but controlled by Triple H and attacked by Nash.
