The Rock

The Rock is a legendary wrestling superstar in World Wrestling Entertainment wrestling history. The Rock started his legendary wrestling career as Rocky Maivia. The Rock is a third generation wrestling superstar who brings great name to their ancient wrestling family. Rocky Maivia played very important role in World Wrestling Federation. World Wrestling Federation was impressed by the Rocky Maivia’s wrestling performance. World Wrestling Federation decided to give much importance to Rocky Maivia. Finally, World Wrestling Federation changed Rocky Maivia’s name as The Rock. The Rock joined in professional wrestling group “Nation of Domination”. The Rock later focused on individual performances and faced world’s greatest legendary wrestling superstars The Undertaker, Bret Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin and etc. Day by day, the rock became very popular and famous wresting superstar in wrestling sports entertainment.

The Rock’s wrestling role became plus of World Wrestling Federation. World Wrestling Federation gave very tough competition to World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and other wrestling sports entertainment industries. However, World Wrestling Federation’s chairman Vince McMahon decided to close The Rock’s wrestling career without imagining future of World Wrestling Federation. Unfortunately, Vince McMahon’s son Shane McMahon created a problem by acquiring World Wrestling Federation’s major competitor World Championship Wrestling (WCW). World Wrestling Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin also joined in The Alliance. Vince McMahon was shocked and there is no alternate way to save World Wrestling Federation from The Alliance. Vince McMahon decided to lift suspension on The Rock but the rock could not save World Wrestling Federation mainly due to Vince McMahon’s behavior. Similarly, Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon also tried to acquire The Rock in order close future of the World Wrestling Federation.

The Rock finally joined World Wrestling Federation by teaching a lesson to Vince McMahon. The Alliance members were unable to stand in front of the rock and played very important role in this war and completely cooperated with Vince McMahon and fellow World Wrestling Federation’s wrestlers. The Rock damaged back bone of the alliance by winning WCW Championship. Similarly, World Wrestling Federation officially owned The Alliance mainly due to The Rock. Similarly, The Rock continued his successful wrestling career and defeated fellow wrestling legend Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania. The Rock was done it all and The Rock role became very crazy. Wrestling fans did not like that crazy role. Next night after WrestleMania, another toughest wrestling legend Bill Goldberg started his wrestling career by concentrating on People’s Champion the Rock. The Rock lost a prestigious wrestling match to Bill Goldberg at Backlash 2003.

The Rock officially accepted failure and strongly decided to retire from professional wrestling. The Rock was later completely out of Wrestling and focused on Hollywood.

1999

On August 9, 1999 in Raw Is War edition, The Rock appeared in Raw Is War edition and talked about his opponent The Big Show and The Big Show's tag team partner The Undertaker. Suddenly, someone's music hits and he is the new WWF wrestling superstar and his name is Chris Jericho. The Rock seriously considered involvement of Chris Jericho in his show and insulted Chris Jericho in front of wrestling fans.

2000

  • August 7, 2009 WWF Raw is War - The Rock Vs Chris Benoit in No-Disqualification Match for WWF Championship

World Wrestling Federation Champion The Rock appeared at the starting of this Raw is War edition. The Rock received a steel chair shot from Shane McMahon in a match with Chris Benoit in Smackdown edition. The Rock decided to offer a title match in this wrestling edition before SummerSlam 200. Chris Benoit and Shane McMahon appeared in this wrestling event. Shane McMahon and Chris Benoit accepted The Rock's challenge but Shane McMahon decided to arrange No-Disqualification match for WWF Championship title belt. WWF Champion The Rock accepted his challenge. Shane McMahon and Chris Benoit felt very happy. The Rock returned to backstage very happily.

The Rock finally faced Chris Benoit in one on one No-Disqualification match for WWF Championship in this wrestling event. The Rock and Chris Benoit hardly wrestled to win the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Shane McMahon also well helped Chris Benoit and this wrestling match seems just like 2 on 1 handicap match due to Shane McMahon's interruption. However, Y2J Chris Jericho appeared in this wrestling event and destroyed Chris benoit. Later, Chris Jericho focused on Shane McMahon but Shane McMahon escaped but Chris Jericho chased Shane McMahon. The Rock successfully destroyed Chris Benoit and retained his WWF Championship. The Rock once again proved as successful World Wrestling Federation Champion and wrestling fans appreciated The Rock by chanting his name.

On March 25, 2002 in Raw is War, People Champion drafted to Smackdown by Chairman of the World Wrestling Federation. He seriously considered it and interrupted his show. Later, the electrifying superstar mocked Mr. McMahon in his own style and met his people last time. On same night he teamed up with Hollywood Hulk Hogan to face New World Order members Kevin Nash, X-Pac and Scott Hall in three on two handicap match but lost to nWo due to Kane's interference. After this match three of them dominated nWo.

The Rock faced Brock Lesnar in a title match at SummerSlam 2002 but lost to Brock Lesnar.
