He started his professional wrestling career on July 1, 1992 and trained by legendary professionals Stu Hart, Leo Burke, Tom Prichard, Dory Funk. Jr, Ron Hutchison and Sweet Daddy Siki.

Edge successfully retained his WWE World Heavyweight Championship title in a last man standing match by defeating Kane in January 7 Smackdown event. He invited new #1 contender Dolph Ziggler and his ex-girl friend Vickie Guerrero to “Cutting Edge” in January 14 Friday night event, mostly insulted his former girl friend, shocked after seeing his kissing scene with one girl backstage when Vickie Guerrero shows it on screen from July 2008 year but showed Vickie’s current boy friend Dolph’s kissing screen with Kaitlyn in NXT program two weeks ago and after that seriously injured her but attacked by Dolph Ziggler. He delivered a boot shot to #1 contender but received three slaps from his ex-girl friend and decided to spear her but seriously attacked by Dolph Ziggler.
At January 21 Friday night, he defeated by Justin Gabriel, seriously injured by Corre members Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel after this match and Dolph Ziggler puts his leg on his chest after their destruction. He attended to January 24 Monday night Raw, eliminated Tyson Kidd, Jack Swagger & Drew McIntyre in edge’s eliminator gets 40th position royal rumble exhibition match as per anonymous GM’s order, received a zig zag from #1 contender of his title Dolph Ziggler and won Champion Vs Champion by disqualification against WWE Champion Miz but saved by Randy Orton from Alex Riley, Miz and Dolph Ziggler.
At Royal Rumble 2011 on January 30, Rated R Superstar neglected Vickie Guerrero’s warning, received help from Kelly kelly and speared Dolph Ziggler logically to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship title. At January 31 Monday night, he attended to Del Rio’s celebration, confirmed what Miz says is correct to Del Rio about him, but del rio selected him as his WrestleMania opponent and Edge later attacked Del Rio but seriously punished by Del Rio by guitar and cross arm submission. On same night he defeated Miz in champion Vs Champion rematch.
He saved Kelly Kelly from LayCool, Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero, later talked about their 3 on 2 handicap world title match but insulted by her tag team partner when Edge doubted about his victory but later participated in main event with Kelly Kelly and surprisingly Kelly Kelly gave victory to World Champion but he frustrated when Vickie Guerrero fires Kelly Kelly and also shocked when Vickie Guerrero announces a special guest world title match for next week but received a zig zag from Dolph Ziggler at February 5 Smackdown event.

He won 12 man tag team match in February 18 Smackdown event, surrendered his title to Vickie Guerrero after that match when Vickie ordered him to surrender it due to violation of terms and conditions. He was fired by Vickie but rehired by actually GM Theodore Long on same night, defeated Dolph Ziggler to become new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, mocked Dolph Ziggler when Teddy Long fires Dolph and also successfully retained his title in a six man Smackdown elimination chamber match at Elimination Chamber on February 20, 2011. He teamed up with Kelly Kelly one more time, defeated Drew McIntyre and Vickie Guerrero in a mixed tag team match in February 25 Smackdown. He was begged by his former wife Vickie Guerrero to recommend Theodore Long not to fire her from her job and said good bye to her but seriously injured by Alberto Del Rio from behind.
He started March 4 Smackdown event, reminded Vickie Guerrero’s firing last week, talked about his WrestleMania match with Del Rio, attacked by Drew McIntyre but defeated him in a match, arranged by Smackdown GM Teddy Long. On same night, he damaged picture of Del Rio with his creativity, signed on WrestleMania contract, involved in a fight with Del Rio and seriously punished by him but saved by Christian.

At March 25 Friday night, he talked to Theodore Long about Del Rio’s actions and decided to do something to Del Rio before WrestleMania but was ordered by Theodore Long not to do any mistake. If Edge does anything to Alberto Del Rio, Edge will be banned from WrestleMania 27. He met Christian at backstage, said to his Canadian brother he would like to show he is 100% and defeated Drew McIntyre. Similarly, he worked in Christian’s corner, attacked by Brodus Clay but speared him. After Christian’s match against Del Rio, WWE World Heavyweight Champion decided to attack him with a steel chair but controlled by Christian and satisfied by Christian when Christian attacks Alberto with steel chair shot. He teamed up with Christian and defeated Brodus Clay and Del Rio, saved Christian after this match but punished by the Del Rio with cross arm break submission in March 28 Raw event.
On April 3, 2011 at WrestleMania 27, he defeated Alberto Del Rio to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and destroyed del rio’s $1,20,000 USD car with a steel rod after that match and brought the same car in a truck to April 8 Friday night Smackdown and mocked his WrestleMania challenger by showing that car. He even painted his name on that car, does not want to offer title shot for extreme rules pay per view but wants to offer it to Christian. However, he discouraged when alberto del rio became new #1 contender of his title by defeating Christian on same night.

He attended to SummerSlam as per Christian’s inviation, shared his opinion about champion, felt happy seeing Christian as world champion but refused to help Christian against his former tag team partner Randy Orton on August 14, 2011.

On February 12, 2001 in Raw Is War, Edge and his tag team partner Christian faced The Undertaker and Kane in a tag team match but involved in a group war with The undertaker, Kane and WWF tag team champions Bubba Ray Dudley and D Von Dudley.
