On April 5, 2009 at WrestleMania XXV, Ricky Steamboat teamed up with his fellow legends Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper to face Chris Jericho in three on one handicap match as per Nature Boy Ric Flair's request. Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper are eliminated but RickySteamboat performed excellent performance to defeat Chris Jericho but lost this prestigious match to Chris Jericho.
On April 26, 2009 at Backlash pay per view, Ricky Steamboat faced Chris Jericho and well handled Chris Jericho by lost his match. However, Ricky Steamboat received amazing response from wrestling fans.
