At September 11, 1995 Second Monday Nitro, he retained his WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Scott Norton, attacked Dungeon of Doom members Shark and Kamala but escaped from Meng, Zodiac and Taskmaster after that match. He later suggested Lex Luger’s name instead of Vader for Fall Brawl War Games but his proposal was opposed by Randy Savage but approved by World Heavyweight Champion Hulk Hogan.

Sting helped Lex Luger's former manager Miss Elizabeth by saving Elizabeth from The Total Package. Sting finally faced Lex Luger and defeated Lex Luger at WCW Wrestling Pay Per View WCW Starrcade 1999.

Sting appeared at WCW SuperBrawl 2000 when Ric Flair and The Total Package Lex Luger destroy Hulk Hogan and his manager Jimmy Hart. Sting saved Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart from Lex Luger and Ric Flair. Hulk Hogan appreciated Sting's help.
