Steven James Anderson also Steven Williams, popularly known as Stone Cold Steve Austin, born on December 18, 1964 is a professional legendary retired professional wrestling superstar; started his professional wrestling career on May 11, 1989 and officially retired from professional wrestling on March 30, 2003. WWE respected Stone Cold Steve Austin by inducting him as 2009 WWE Hall of Famer. He returns to WWE; night after WrestleMania XXVII at Raw on April 4, 2011.
World Championship Wrestling (WCW)
Steve Austin accomplished his first WCW World Television Championship title by defeating Bobby Eaton at WCW Worldwide on June 29, 1991, after holding TV title for 329 days he lost title to Barry Windham at WCW Saturday night main event on May 9, 1992. However he defeated the same superstar at WCW Worldwide on June 13, 1992 to become WCW TV Champion second time; after holding the title for 102 days he lost WCW Television championship title to Ricky The Dragon Steamboat at Clash of the Champions XX on September 2, 1992.
Steve Austin teamed up with Brian Pillman, founded Hollywood Blonds faced Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas at WCW Power House on March 27, 1993 to become WCW world tag team champion and also NWA World tag team champion first time but lost titles to Arn Anderson and Paul Roma after 169 days at Clash of the Champions XXIV on August 18, 1993.
At Starrcade on December 27, 1993, Steve Austin defeated Dustin Rhodes in two out of three falls match to win WCW United States Championship title first time, after holding the title for 240 days; he lost title to Ricky Steamboat at Clash of the Champions XXVIII on August 24, 1994. However at WCW Fall Brawl on September 18, 1994, due to severe injury of Steamboat, Steve Austin becomes second time WCW U.S Champion but on same night he defeated Jim Duggan in another match.
World Wrestling Entertainment
On June 23, 1996 at King of the Ring, Stone Cold Steve Austin won King of the ring. At January 19, 1997 at Royal Rumble, he won Royal Rumble by entering as fifth participant.
Stone Cold teamed up with Shawn Michaels to achieve WWF/E world tag team championship title first time by defeating British Bulldogs at May 25, 1997 Raw but after 50 days due to Shawn Michaels’s injury, they vacated the titles on July 14, 1997 Raw event but on same night he teamed up with Dude Love and defeated British Bulldogs to achieve World tag team titles second time.
Steve Austin defeated Owen Hart at SummerSlam on August 3, 1997 to achieve WWF/E Intercontinental Championship first time but vacated World tag team titles after 55 days on September 7, 1997 and also vacated Intercontinental title after 36 days on September 8, 1997 due to severe neck injury but once again defeated Owen Hart at Survivor Series on November 9, 1997 to become Intercontinental Champion second time but after 29 days he lost title to Rocky Maivia at Raw is War on December 8, 1997.
Stone Cold once again won Royal Rumble as a 24th participant at Royal Rumble on January 18, 1998. On March 29, 1998 at WrestleMania XIV, Stone Cold Steve Austin accomplished WWF/E championship first time by defeating Shawn Michaels, after holding the title for 91 days; he lost title to the big red machine Kane in a first blood match at King of the Ring on June 28, 1998 but defeated Kane in a rematch to become second time WWF/E Champion at June 29, 1998 Raw is War. At Fully Loaded In Your House on July 26, 1998 he teamed up with Undertaker to become three times World tag team champion by defeating Kane and Mankind but after 15 days at August 10, 1998 Raw; lost tag titles to same team. Holding WWF/E title for 90 days, he vacated the title because of double pin fall submitted by Undertaker and Kane in a triple threat match at Breakdown In Your House main event on September 27, 1998.
On March 28, 1999 at WrestleMania XV, he become three times WWF/E champion by defeating Rock, after holding the title for 56 days he lost title to Undertaker at Over the Edge pay per view on May 23, 1999. However, Stone Cold defeated the same superstar at June 28, 1999 Raw is War to become four times WWF/E champion but after 55 days he lost title to Mankind at SummerSlam on August 22, 1999 in a triple threat match.
Steve Austin won Royal Rumble third time on January 21, 2001 and reserved a championship match at WrestleMania; teamed up with Triple H to become fourth time world tag team champions by defeating Brothers of Destruction Kane and Undertaker at Backlash on April 29, 2001; and defeated The Rock to become WWF/E champion fifth time at WrestleMania X-Seven on April 1, 2001 but after 175 days he lost title to Kurt Angle at Unforgiven pay per view on September 23, 2001. However, he defeated the same superstar at October 8, 2001 Raw edition to become WWF/E Champion sixth time. After holing the title for 62 days, he lost title to Chris Jericho at Vengeance on December 9, 2001.
He received prestigious WWE Hall of Fame in Class of 2009.
2011
On April 3, 2011 at WrestleMania XXVII, he met The Rock, shakes hand with him, appeared as special guest referee of a match between Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, stunned Jack Swagger because of his interference, puts his hands on Michael Cole when Cole pushed him, raised Jerry Lawler as winner, celebrated victory with beers, delivered a stunner to Booker T and also delivered another stunner to Josh Mathews when Raw GM announced Michael Cole as winner of this match.
