At Hell In a Cell 2009 pay per view, John Cena and Randy Orton walked into hell in a cell for WWE Championship. However, WWE Champion John Cena defeated by Randy Orton. Randy Orton became six time WWE Champion. Next night on 5 October 2009 Raw, Randy Orton expected rematch proposal from John Cena. Randy Orton did not wish to offer championship match on same night but accepted John Cena’s 60 Minute Iron Man match at Bragging Rights 2009 pay per view.

Randy Orton actually accepted John Cena’s proposal on one condition. John Cena has to leave Raw brand permanently, if John Cena looses to Randy Orton on October 25, 2009. However, John Cena could wrestle in Smackdown and ECW brands. John Cena accepted Randy Orton’s stipulation. Finally, WWE granted permission to these two wrestling superstars with 60 minute Iron Man Match.
