WWE Raw SuperShow - January 16, 2012

WWE Raw SuperShow is a Monday night entertaining live television program of World Wrestling Entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment presents its 974th edition which is January 16, 2012 Raw SuperShow conducted at Honda Center, Anaheim, California. Storyline of this Monday night Raw SuperShow is scripted as per January 9, 2012 Raw SuperShow and previous annual wrestling pay per view Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2011. Similarly, it develops storyline for January 23, 2012 Raw SuperShow as well as next annual wrestling pay per view WWE Royal Rumble 2012.

Justin Roberts invited the legendary hardcore wrestling superstar Mick Foley. He came out with wrestling fans respectful support. WWE Universe chanted his name to show their respect to this future WWE Hall of Famer.

Mick Foley wants to participate in 2012 Royal Rumble

Mick Foley said thanks to people; came out there for two separate reasons. He never buys an opportunity in Disney land in this arena. He was return to WWE nonphysical program by appearing as Santa but enjoyed it. Similarly, he even enjoyed hosting a program with Cena. As per his statement, he fulfilled everything he wants to achieve inside the ring in WWE including headlining the WrestleMania in the same building. WWE Universe appreciated him. He revealed to his wife, two kids and attendance by talking about his dream. Last time, his kids were too young to see him inside the ring but want to give chance to them to see him inside the ring one more time. Therefore, his second reason is he wants to be one of the participants in 30 man over the top rope battle royal at Royal Rumble 2012. WWE Universe was so excited after hearing his announcement.

Surprisingly, #1 contender of WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero came out, Vickie interrupted him by saying Excuse Me, Excuse Me and I said Excuse Me but WWE Universe booed them.

Dolph Ziggler disrespects Mick Foley

Vickie Guerrero said to Mick Foley to welcome the next WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler. They entered into ring to talk to the hardcore legend. Dolph Ziggler said, our dad come back to school to beat up. Foley said that could happen, could throw participants over the top rope and nobody can predict what happens at Rumble, dangerous things could happen and reminded he entered into Royal Rumble twice and also become WWE Champion. Mick Foley wants to perform to make his kids enjoy it. However, his way of thinking is entirely different to others but ambitious. The Unpredictable said I am entering into royal rumble for just in it but win it.

Dolph Ziggler was impressed by seeing aim and even appreciated him but reminded every superstar in locker room thinks in same way. For the last several years, he is also working to win Royal Rumble in order to prove him to wrestling fans. He reminded, he beat John Cena last week and even left that ring. He also reminded beating CM Punk. Similarly, Ziggler plans to win Royal Rumble as well as defeating Punk to become new WWE Champion at Royal Rumble pay per view. His game plan to make people let them down but it would be a miracle if Mick Foley wins the royal rumble. Similarly, Mick could force him to defend WWE Championship against out of shape but insulted him.

As per Ziggler, Foley came out to announce two points but Dolph came there to make one more. The #1 contender said Mick came here to make fool one last time. However, once his life he was succeeded but said his career is over and suggested him to go to home, buy a new shirt, eat and sell it and just go away from this business. However, WWE Champion CM Punk came out with wrestling fans outstanding support.

CM Punk supports Mick Foley and talked about WWE Championship match

WWE Champion stood near to Foley, looked at #1 contender and enjoyed people’s support. Punk said it is good to see Mick Foley in Anaheim, California. Foley was also felt very happy. Dolph said of course you love each other. WWE Champion said they both have lot of likes. We don’t look, talk and tried to do common things. Most importantly, they don’t hide behind a woman but champion wants to talk to him but not with excuse me. The straightedge superstar said nobody can achieve whatever they want but should earn. Similarly, he talked about special guest referee. However said we have earned everything to achieve whatever they want to accomplish and later insulted the executive vice president of talent relations and Interim General Manager.

Whether John Laurinaitis support him or not, after their match, CM punk will be WWE Champion raising his title over his title. If Dolph wants to know the reason; because the punk is the best wrestler in the world. Punk predicted at WrestleMania, he needs to fight with winner of Royal Rumble. His opponent could be Mick Foley. The Hardcore Legend felt very happy and said why not.
Vickie Guerrero insulted CM Punk and Mick Foley to support her man. Punk said if I was you I don’t talk to anybody.

John Laurinaitis gave a warning to CM Punk & said No to Mick Foley

In few moments, Mr. John Laurinaitis came there to make an announcement. He ordered Punk to turn around him to looked at him, reminded I am the executive vice president of talent relations and Interim General Manager of Raw SuperShow. Secondly, he will be the special guest referee of WWE Championship match at Royal Rumble and assured him to embarrass Punk in that entire match. Thirdly, he would like to show him how he can be and considered Mick Foley for Royal Rumble. John Laurinaitis always does best for this business as per his statement and said no to Foley for Royal Rumble.

Vickie Guerrero laughed at Mick Foley evilly but Mick Foley was smiled by seeing her evil laugh.

The new WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo with Rosa Mendes were already in ring. Similarly, Air Boom was also in ring. Justin Roberts announced a WWE tag team championship match and Epico and Primo surrendered their tag team titles to match referee.

Match: 1

• Epico & Primo Vs Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne in tag titles rematch

Epico kicked at midsection, punched to face repeatedly, reversed him but Bourne well landed on his feet and reversed his opponent into pin but Epico was refused. Evan performed headscissors takedown, turned hand but received a kick to midsection. Primo got tag but Bourne tried to perform crossbody but both WWE tag team champions caught him, performed double fallaway slam and then primo punched him repeatedly. Rosa Mendes was very happy by seeing her teammates’ domination. Primo kicked at midsection, gave tag to his partner, kicked at midsection but Bourne connected back elbows to Primo and surprised Epico with Hurricanrana.

Kofi Kingston got tag, surprised tag team champions with flying double forearm smashes, then controlled epico with two handed chop, another flying forearm smash, performed boom drop, planned to perform trouble in paradise but changed his mind and sent primo to outside of the ring but epico tried to pin him. The Dreadlocked Dynamo performed trouble in paradise and even Evan Bourne went to top rope to perform Air Bourne after getting tag from his partner but shocked when Primo throws Kingston on steel ring post. Epico utilized it, pushed Bourne on ring rope, performed backstabber and pinned Evan Bourne.

Epico and Primo successfully retained their tag team titles. At outside of the ring their manager Rosa Mendes was so excited and celebrated their victory with wrestling fans. Raw SuperShow ring announcer promulgated Epico and Primo are still WWE tag team champions. After that three of them involved in their celebration.

Interim General Manager puts Chris Jericho in a six man tag team match

The Executive vice president of talent relations and Interim General manager of Monday night Raw SuperShow John Laurinaitis was checking his messages in his cell phone and in few moments David Otunga came there. He said hi John, gave cove to him and Laurinaitis puts that cover in his coat. David Otunga said you know who’s waiting at door! Otunga brought him into ring after getting permission from him. John said, you are going to participate in main event tonight in a six man tag team match, Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry and his assistant David Otunga become a tag team. Similarly, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are going to team up with Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho smiled and even people felt very happy after hearing this official announcement. Y2J switched off lights in that room and showed his lighting coat to WWE Universe.

Eve Torres and WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder with injured waist at backstage. Eve Torres worried about his condition and even Ryder also but in few moments WWE interviewer Josh Mathews came there to interview him.

Josh questioned are you medically cleared to compete in his U.S title match. Zack said no. No I have not. Eve said there is no way Zack Ryder to defend his title because of injured waist. As per her opinion, Ryder should be at home. Zack said I am going to ring to defend his title but said if anyone thinks I retain my title by forfeit it is crap. However, Torres decided to come with Zack Ryder.

Raw SuperShow ring announcer announced a WWE United States Championship match. The All American American Jack Swagger came out with Vickie Guerrero. In few moments, WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder came out with his girlfriend Eve Torres but Ryder was not 100% ok. He showed his title to WWE Universe and surrendered to match referee.

• Jack Swagger Vs Zack Ryder for WWE United States Championship 

The All American American connected reverse elbow to backbone, performed sidewalk slam, powerfully pushed him towards a corner which further damaged injured waist of champion. Swagger delivered a forearm smash on injured part repeatedly but Long Island Iced-Z blocked him with double high knee at a corner but did a mistake by performing diving crossbody and Jack perfectly caught him, damaged his waist with backbreaker, performed swagger bomb on injured back, surprised him with gutwrench suplex. Vickie Guerrero showed her man’s domination to Eve Torres who was worried about her man. He also performed Gutwrench suplex but Ryder doesn’t want to lose title. Jack Swagger dropped elbows on backbone repeatedly, another Gutwrench suplex and pinned him to become new WWE United States Champion.

The Raw SuperShow ring announcer introduced the new WWE United States Champion Jack Swagger to WWE Universe. Vickie Guerrero was felt very happy just like her man. He collected his WWE United States Championship title from match referee and continued celebrating his victory with wrestling fans. Eve Torres also entered into ring to protect her man. Vickie hugged Swagger to share his happiness.

John Laurinaitis apologizes to Zack Ryder for his mistake

World Wrestling Entertainment showed trainer room where Doctor checks condition of Zack Ryder but in few moments the executive vice president of talent relations and Interim General Manager came there, said sorry to him and also said I just got Doctors report which clears that Ryder is not medically cleared. Eve Torres seriously considered, blamed John Laurinaitis for his mistake but GM ordered her to shut her mouth and then left that place.

Ring announcer invited the special guest ring announcer Perez Hilton. He interacted with WWE Universe before enter into ring, shakes hand with Roberts, took mic and said hello to WWE Universe. He thanked to them for warm welcome. He announced a divas tag team match and introduced participants of one team Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox. Similarly, he introduced Bella Twins as opponent tag team participants.

• Bella Twins Vs Kelly Kelly & Alicia Fox in divas tag team match

Nikki Bella delivered a side kick to midsection of Kelly Kelly, hits head to a base, kicked on kidney area, back, hits her back to a corner, repeated kicks to midsection at same corner but Kelly Kelly escaped from her attack, surprised her with a single hand bulldog but Brie kicked on back of Kelly Kelly to interrupt the pin. Alicia Fox seriously considered it and decided to attack Brie but match referee stopped her. In this mean time, Nikki was switched by Brie but the special guest ring announcer pulled Brie to outside of the ring. Kelly Kelly successfully pinned Nikki Bella.

Alicia Fox and special guest ring announcer Perez Hilton entered into ring and they continued celebrating their divas tag team victory. WWE Universe appreciated them but however Bella Twins entered into ring, blamed Perez Hilton and pushed him. However, Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox stand before him to protect him from Bella Twins.

R Truth confronts Wade Barrett

R Truth attended to Monday night live event, received good support from fans, felt very happy after seeing people’s support, interested to say something but Wade Barrett came out to interrupt the interactive speech of conspiracy theorist and R Truth breaks off his speech. Barrett apologized to R Truth, knew R Truth is his real name, and introduced himself to conspiracy theorist as Wade Barrett and everyone including R Truth will know Barrett as winner of 2012 Royal Rumble very soon. He even talked about one of the competitors for 30 man royal rumble Mick Foley, said to R Truth; he is an official entrant of Royal Rumble but disrespected Truth by seeing dressing style of him.

R Truth said, Hello Governor, requested little jimmy to wait for a minute to deal Barrett, said to Barrett; little says to him Wade Barrett came out to talk funny, said to people not to interrupt me when people say what for every sentence of R Truth, said to Wade we are in the happiest place on earth i.e Disney land, even went earlier this event and someone put smile on his face but Barrett missed his smile on his face. R Truth showed his Disney land memories on screen to Barrett, also showed Duck but Barrett was irritated after seeing his nonsense, wants to know why he is showing it him and then R Truth revealed that someone in Disney land told him that Wade Barrett wins the 2012 Royal Rumble but after that his nose becomes big nose because he did not tell truth to him and lied to him.

R Truth believes a mouse can talk, also believe an elephant can fly but don’t believe at least one second that Wade Barrett is going to win Royal Rumble match and said that’s the truth.

Sheamus saves R Truth from Miz and Wade Barrett

However, Suddenly the awesome attacked him from behind before Barrett and they both involved in a brawl but even Wade Barrett joined to support Miz but suddenly the great white came out, attacked Barrett and Miz with short arm clotheslines. After that R Truth and Sheamus well-handled Wade Barrett and Miz respectively with some punches but Miz and Wade Barrett left the ring by seeing their domination.

Theodore Long settles problem with over the top rope challenge

However, the General Manager of Smackdown Theodore Long came out, ordered them to wait for second, knew John Laurinaitis is busy, because of SuperShow; he can take charge, reminded Royal Rumble match is everyone for himself and decided to conduct an over the top rope challenge to show the preview of Royal Rumble match and the last man standing becomes the winner of this match and ordered referee to inform to time keeper to ring the bell.

John Laurinaitis satisfies John Cena

John Cena entered into GM’s office without getting permission from him and General Manager broke off checking his mobile phone by seeing Cena. Aggressively, cena asked him are you doing best? He said GM screwed Zack Ryder’s U.S Championship title intentionally but Interim GM revealed he made mistake, reminded he is a human being, also reminded as humans we made mistakes, knew Zack Ryder is friend of Cena, also concerned Kane and John Cena replied him if Kane showed face then he would like to show how he is going to concern Kane. GM emboldened him to concern Royal Rumble pay per view, made a match for him with Kane at Royal Rumble 2012 and also made a match with new WWE United States Champion Jack Swagger for this event.

John Cena punishes new WWE U.S Champion

WWE United States Champion Jack Swagger came out and showed his title to WWE Universe proudly but wrestling fans booed him. In few moments, the man who is victim of hate attended to this wrestling main event, removed his cap on stage, entered into ring, threw his t shirt on champion, attacked him with several punches, surprised him with body avalanche at another corner, then running clothesline, punched at kidney, forearm smash on spinal area, tosses him to outside of the ring where he kicks on chest, hits him to ring post, hits him on announce table, forearm smashes on chest, repeated punches to head and seriously looked at match referee when match referee tried to put them into official match.

CeNation Commander-in-Chief John Cena connected step up knee to face, powerful punch to face, clothesline, kicks to kidney, backbone, pushed him towards steel steps and successfully injured him, kicked on face, hits champion’s head on steel step repeatedly and decided to drop another steel step on his head but the big red monster Kane hits his music and John Cena quickly entered into ring to face any consequences.

Kane was impressed after seeing Cena’s punishment and talked about their match at Royal Rumble wrestling pay per view. He said, at the time of their match, Cena will be embarrassed by hate. John Cena was irritated by hearing his statement.

World Wrestling Entertainment ended their match without starting.

The Funkasaurus Brodus Clay attended to this wrestling main event with two young dancers. They performed a dance show and entertained wrestling fans. His opponent JTG was at outside of the ring where he watched his ring presence.

• JTG Vs Brodus Clay

The Mastodon of Mayhem shakes his body, disrespected him with his actions but received a slap in return. JTG tried to lift him but Clay signalled him to see to one side but punched to face. He delivered headbutt to oncoming JTG, performed snap suplex, body avalanche, surprised him with running splash and pinned him.

The ring announcer promulgated The Super Sexy Suplex Machine as winner of this match. Brodus Clay again performed dance with his dancers in ring but in other side match referee checks condition of JTG.

Bryan blames Big Show & reveals how much he loves AJ

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan came out, said most of the people think Big Show is most lovable Giant, insulted him because over 500lbs Giant attacked his 98lbs girlfriend, revealed she will not be the same even after her recovery but Big Show himself could stop. However, he did not. As per his statement, Big Show ran over his girlfriend for him as well as his world title. He said it is worst. Similarly, Big Show did not say sorry but cried. He considered those tears are fake 100% but said Big Show should not show his face on Smackdown. If the Giant comes to Smackdown then Show needs to pay. He reminded AJ proposed him, even appreciated her and decided to show how much he loves her.

Raw SuperShow ring announcer announced a six man tag team match, introduced World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan; Chris Jericho came out, interacted with wrestling fans around the ring, takes picture of wrestling fans and in few moments WWE Champion CM Punk was also attended to this wrestling main event. Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry and David Otunga were already in ring.

• CM Punk, Chris Jericho & Daniel Bryan Vs Mark Henry, David Otunga & Dolph Ziggler in six man tag team match

The straightedge saviour front slams him, applied necklock, slammed, kicked on chest, knife edge chop to chest, connected elbow to head, performed belly to belly suplex, gave tag to his partner Daniel Bryan, pulled back both hands of #1 contender, double arm drop on spinal area and Bryan kicked at midsection, European uppercut, applied side headlock, shoulderblock but unable to jump over Ziggler head and fallen down from his feet. The showoff kicked at midsection, reversed him, jumping elbow drop on chest and in other side, WWE Universe chants Y2J Chris Jericho’s name. The Natural applied knee breaker for long time but Bryan saved his knee by reaching the bottom rope. Bryan escaped from Dolph’s attack which made Ziggler to hits to a corner. Chris Jericho expected the tag but the American Dragon gave tag to WWE Champion. Similarly, The Kanye West of WWE got tag. The Best in the World kicked at left knee, roundhouse kick to left knee, turned hand, performed side headlock take down, connected a headbutt to stomach but received a step up kick to chest.

#1 contender again got tag, attacked Punk with a hard punch, repeated kicks on face as well as chest, further controlled him with a swinging neckbreaker and at the outside of the ring Vickie Guerrero was impressed and felt very happy seeing her client’s domination. The Showoff applied crossface but Punk converted it into backbreaker. Chris Jericho was so excited to make a tag but #1 contender pulled him back to avoid the tag. David "A-List" Otunga got tag, dropped double arm drop on chest, repeated kicks to back as well as midsection at a corner, gave clothesline, lifted to top rope but The Voice of The Voiceless delivered some punches to kidney, then headbutt, succeeded in performing the diving elbow drop and finally Y2J got tag.

Chris Jericho encouraged people support and WWE Universe did it but gave tag to Daniel Bryan surprisingly. The first ever undisputed WWE Champion simply returned to backstage. Hence, this six man tag team match becomes three on two handicap match. After that Bryan dropkicked a corner because of Otunga’s escape. After that #1 contender got tag, applied neck snap but got a roundhouse kick to head. After that the straight edge superstar got tag, attacked him with running clothesline, surprised with swinging neckbreaker, connected step up high knee to opponent’s face and then running bulldog.
WWE Champion surprised him with a springboard diving clothesline, observed Henry and reverse kicked him but got a powerful headbutt. The world’s strongest man plans to deliver a world’s strongest slam to Bryan but World Heavyweight Champion attacked him to avoid it. They both left that ring and fight at outside by forgetting the match. The world’s strongest man threw him on ramp just like a ball, headbutt and they went to backstage by fighting.

However, the hardcore legend Mick Foley came out, joined CM Punk as tag team partner of Punk and informed to match referee that John Laurinaitis sent him to join as legal tag team partner and match referee understood and gave permission to him to participate in this match.

• Mick Foley & CM Punk Vs Dolph Ziggler & David Otunga in tag team match

Dolph Ziggler escaped from step up enzuigiri, and then surprised him with leg drop bulldog, punched repeatedly on head as well as several kicks on head, performed swinging neckbreaker twice but received a boot kick to side head. After that Mick Foley and David Otunga got tags. The Hardcore Legend punches Otunga, hits him to one corner, repeated punches to head, running knee lift to face to cornered Otunga, kicked at midsection, DDT, wore a sock and tapped out Otunga with Mr. Socko.

Justin Roberts promulgated Mick Foley and CM Punk are official winners of this match. They both involved in celebrating their victory with wrestling fans but Mr. John Laurinaitis came out and requested them to wait for a second and entered into ring.

Interim General Manager reversed the match result

The Interim General Manager doesn’t give permission to Mick Foley to participate in this match, hence Mick Foley is not a legal participant; therefore Foley forced him to reverse the result of this match. John Laurinaitis promulgated winners of this match Mark Henry, Dolph Ziggler and David Otunga. WWE Champion CM Punk and WWE Universe were discouraged for his decision.

CM Punk confronts John Laurinaitis

WWE Champion took microphone from GM, asked him what’s the matter! Questioned him do you it? Disrespected him by trying to remove coat, John Laurinaitis cannot do anything; Mick is here to do nothing which is not related to what’s going on between them and Punk ordered him to shut his mouth up. He ordered him to listen to him, knew Interim GM doesn’t like him, even knew John could not do anything to him, said people don’t have idea about who John is, later insulted him, reminded his brother was one half of legendary Road Warriors but Laurinaitis is Road killing as well as boring, not charismatic and vanilla that’s right boring.

WWE Champion started disrespecting him, reminded he achieved more than GM’s life, revealed John doesn’t have original thoughts, if you are trying to screw at Royal Rumble but you can’t do it, also revealed John Laurinaitis is jealous for who CM Punk is and where he is coming from, fact is CM Punk is WWE Champion and the man and also said GM can’t stand before him. CM Punk was confident about his match and title whatever Johnny tries to do him. However, at the end of the match Punk will be better than GM. If GM screws him, CM Punk does not want to punish him with GTS, people will talk about the executive vice president of talent relations and Interim General Manager of Raw SuperShow.

WWE Universe stands for CM Punk, intimidated him by trying to punch him but didn’t and insulted him by giving microphone. WWE Champion CM Punk returned to backstage by raising his title over his head.

John Laurinaitis revealed screw job for Punk, reasons for his attitude & attacked Mick Foley

John Laurinaitis looked at Mick Foley, took microphone, said my name is Mr. John Laurinaitis and I am the executive vice president of talent relations and Interim but soon become permanent General Manager of Raw SuperShow. He said I will be intimidated by the straightedge superstar but Mick Foley questioned him is it decency to screw Punk at Royal Rumble? Mick was also insulted him, even people also started insulting him but GM asked him what Mick Foley thinks about himself also thinks about him. John Laurinaitis decided to screw CM Punk surely at Royal Rumble if Mick Foley wants to know. General manager would like to do his job, did well because he is sick and tired about disrespect. Sick and tired being a bully. Each and every week, John prepares a better entertaining program for WWE Universe but he was not appreciated for it. He doesn’t want to take it anymore, surprisingly attacked Mick Foley with mic, received boos and returned to backstage. Mick Foley was in ring with headache. In this WWE ended its weekly Monday night live event.
