WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista appeared at Smackdown edition on October 12, 2007 to watch #1 contender’s match between Rey Mysterio and Finlay. Finlay and Rey Mysterio said to Batista, this title is mine before this match. As we already know, Finlay destroyed Rey Mysterio at No Mercy 2007. However, Rey Mysterio faced Finlay again.  Rey Mysterio exploded and gave good starting to this wrestling match by attacking with hand punches and leg shots.

Similarly, Finlay tried to handle Rey Mysterio but Rey Mysterio did not give chance to Finlay. Rey Mysterio made a mistake by jumping from top rope but Finlay escaped intelligently. However, Rey Mysterio jumped over Finlay from top of the ring. Rey Mysterio continued his domination. Rey Mysterio surprised Finlay by dropping his body. Finlay pushed Rey Mysterio over steel ring pole.

Finlay damaged back of Rey Mysterio and applied sharpshooter. Finlay also further damaged back of Finlay with back breaker. Rey Mysterio exploded and surprised with face buster. Rey Mysterio drop kicked Finlay. Rey Mysterio and Finlay completely lost control and did not listen match referee. Match referee disqualified both wrestlers. Suddenly, The Undertaker music hits. The Undertaker destroyed both Finlay as well as Rey Mysterio. The Undertaker signaled Batista, he wants this title back. Batista also accepted his interest.
