WWE tag team champion The Miz music hits and appeared at WWE Raw on January 12, 2009. Lilian Garcia introduced The Miz to this wrestling event. The Miz entered into wrestling ring and waits for his opponent. In few moments, Rey Mysterio music hits and appeared in this wrestling edition. Lilian Garcia also introduced Rey Mysterio to this weekly event. Rey Mysterio entered into wrestling ring to face WWE tag team champion The Miz. Match referee signaled time keeper to ring the bell in order to start this wrestling match officially. The Miz applied side headlock to give good starting to this wrestling match. However, Rey Mysterio kicked into his stomach and then reversed The Miz. The Miz surprised Rey Mysterio with shoulder block. Later, The Miz received a drop kick from Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio gave a powerful leg shot. The Miz reached one corner of the ring and Rey Mysterio gave a hand shot and then reversed him from one corner to opposite corner of the wrestling ring.

However, The Miz reversed him by controlling his power. The Miz received boot shot from Rey Mysterio when Rey Mysterio tried to attack him. Rey Mysterio tried to face burst The Miz but The Miz threw Rey Mysterio over one corner of the wrestling ring. The Miz kicked on his back. The Miz gave continuous hand shots and then leg shots to Rey Mysterio at same corner of the wrestling ring. Rey Mysterio stood on his feet but received a close line from The Miz at same corner. The Miz covered Rey Mysterio to submit pin fall but Rey Mysterio rejected his pin fall in order to save this wrestling match. The Miz gave a knee kick on his back to damage back of the Rey Mysterio. Similarly, The Miz pulled Rey Mysterio’s two hands backwards. Rey Mysterio kicked into his stomach area but received hand shots on his back from The Miz. The Miz tried to drop his body back but Rey Mysterio escaped and stood on his feet. Rey Mysterio attacked The Miz with hand shots. However, The Miz surprised Rey Mysterio with face buster. The Miz once again submitted pin fall but Rey Mysterio rejected his pin fall in order to save this wrestling match.

The Miz lifted Rey Mysterio and reversed him but received a leg shot on his chest. Rey Mysterio jumped over The Miz over the top rope and submitted pin fall but The Miz rejected his pin fall. Rey Mysterio kicked The Miz. Rey Mysterio tried to reverse The Miz but The Miz reversed Rey Mysterio. However, Rey Mysterio turned his legs to give 619. Rey Mysterio tried to give 619 to Miz but The Miz escaped intelligently. The Miz later dropped Rey Mysterio’s body but received a shoulder block. Rey Mysterio tried to submit pin fall but The Miz submitted pin fall. However, Rey Mysterio rejected his pin fall in order to save this wrestling match. The Miz kicked into his stomach but Rey Mysterio reversed his body. Later, Rey Mysterio once again cleaned route to present 619 and connected 619 to The Miz. Later, Rey Mysterio dropped his body over The Miz. Rey Mysterio defeated The Miz successfully through pin fall. Rey Mysterio celebrated his victory with wrestling fans but Mike Knox attacked Rey Mysterio from behind. Mike Knox hardly tried to destroy Rey Mysterio but Rey Mysterio taught a lesson to Mike Knox by eliminating him to outside of the wrestling ring.
