Roddy Piper Vs The Mountie for Intercontinental Title at Royal Rumble 1992

World Wrestling Federation conducted second wrestling match between two best professional wrestling superstars Roddy Piper and WWF Intercontinental Champion The Mountie for WWF Intercontinental Championship at Royal Rumble. This wrestling match was conducted after The New Foundation and The Orient Express tag team match. Bret The Hitman Hart suffered from 104°c fever on 17 January 1992 but Bret The Hitman Hart had a match with The Mountie for WWF Intercontinental Championship. It was wrestling drama but the actual fact was Bret Hart’s contract expired. So, Bret The Hitman Hart was forced to lose this match by the World Wrestling Federation. Finally, Bret The Hitman Hart lost WWF Intercontinental Championship to The Mountie. The Mountie seriously injured Bret The Hitman Hart after this match. However, Roddy Piper saved Bret The Hitman Hart from The Mountie.

Once again, The Mountie injured Roddy Piper. Rowdy Roddy Piper seriously considered this match and decided to face The Mountie for WWF Intercontinental Championship. Finally, World Wrestling Federation conducted a speical wrestling match between these two wrestling superstars at Royal Rumble 1992. Intercontinental Champion The Mountie and his manager Jimmy Hart attended this match. Roddy Piper faced The Mountie in this match. Both these wrestling superstars performed good wrestling skills but Roddy Piper won the WWF Intercontinental Championship through submission. Roddy Piper celebrated his victory with wrestling fans as new Intercontinental Champion. After this match, The Beverly Brothers faced The Bushwhackers in a tag team match.
