30 Men Battle Royal at Royal Rumble 2012
On January 2, 2012 Raw SuperShow, Wade Barrett publicly announced he would win the 30 man battle royal rumble pay per view but the man who featured on official theme on Royal Rumble, Santino Marella interrupted him, reminded Barrett was not eliminated as last superstar in last year's Royal Rumble but it was Santino Marella. Hence, Santino Marella announced he would be the 2012 Royal Rumble winner logically. Similarly, in January 6 Smackdown event; Barrett once again said, he would like to win 30 men battle royal but Celtic Warrior interrupted him and said he would become biggest one at Royal Rumble.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes attended to January 13, 2012 Smackdown event, said he would like to go to WrestleMania to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion as well as Intercontinental Champion just like Ultimate Warrior by winning the elimination style 2012 Royal Rumble. The Hardcore legend Mick Foley attended to January 16 Raw SuperShow, showed interest to enter into 30 man over the top rope elimination style match but the Interim General Manager of Raw SuperShow and executive vice president of talent relations Mr. John Laurinaitis promulgated he doesn’t want to see Mick Foley in Royal Rumble.
John Laurinaitis seriously considered the argument between R Truth and Miz at January 23 Raw SuperShow and put them in a wrestling match and made their match loser must enter Royal Rumble as #1 entrant. Finally, Miz lost to R Truth and become first entrant of 2012 30 Man battle royal rumble. On same night, Interim General manager announced Mick Foley is also participate in Royal Rumble match.
The below list of WWE Superstars from Raw SuperShow and Smackdown brands participated in 30 man elimination style battle royal at WWE Royal Rumble 2012 pay per view on January 29, 2011. However, Sheamus won 30 man battle royal rumble match and faces either WWE Champion or WWE World Heavyweight Champion in a title match at WWE WrestleMania 28 .
