Shane McMahon appeared with Chris Benoit as per The Rock‘s challenge. Shane McMahon and Chris Benoit accepted The Rock’s WWF Championship challenge but Shane McMahon arranged this WWF Championship match as No-Disqualification match. The Rock also accepted their challenge. Shane McMahon well helped Chris Benoit to win WWF Championship match but Y2J Chris Jericho came and chased Shane McMahon and Shane McMahon ran to outside through crowd.

On February 15, 2009 at No Way Out, Shane McMahon faced Randy Orton in No Holds Barred Match and well punished Randy Orton. Similarly, Shane McMahon also successfully handled Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase but lost to Randy Orton.

On April 20, 2009 in Raw edition, Shane McMahon congratulated Batista at backstage and instructed Batista to concentrate on Backlash 2009. Later, Shane McMahon met WWE Champion Randy Orton in his locker room and positively reponded about Batista’s performance. Shane McMahon involved at the ending of Triple H’s no disqualification match to protect Triple H from Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase but Shane McMahon accidentally speared by Batista.
