Shelton Benjamin said, he definitely win the Royal Rumble and does not care Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, R-Truth and any other wrestling superstar. Suddenly, Shelton Benjamin experienced an unexpected situation when The Undertaker appeared in front of him. The Undertaker chock slammed Shelton Benjamin.

On January 23, 2009 in Smackdown, Shelton Benjamin faced The Undertaker without fear but defeated by The Undertaker.On February 27, 2009 in Smackdown, WWE United States Champion faced Chavo Guerrero and also injured special guest commentator MVP with Chavo Guerrero but defeated by Chavo Guerrero. WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin attacked by MVP after this match.

On March 6, 2009 in Smackdown, Shelton Benjamin defeated Jeff Hardy due to Matt hardy’s interference in Money In the Bank qualifying match.

On April 13, 2009 in Raw edition, Shelton Benjamin faced Christian. Shelton Benjamin well handled Christian but defeated by Christian.
