Smackdown - January 13, 2012

WWE Smackdown wrestling event is a Friday night entertaining television wrestling program of World Wrestling Entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment presents its 647 weekly edition which is January 13, 2012 Smackdown television program which is originally taped at Laredo Energy Arena, Laredo, Texas on January 10, 2012. Storyline of this Friday night wrestling edition is developed as per January 6, 2012 Smackdown edition as well as previous annual wrestling pay per view Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2011. Similarly, it develops storyline for January 20, 2012 Smackdown wrestling event as well as next professional prestigious annual wrestling pay per view WWE Royal Rumble 2012.

The Smackdown ring announcer Lilian Garcia requested WWE Universe to welcome WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan opened this show, interacted with WWE Universe but did not get much support from WWE Universe.

Daniel Bryan cleared doubts in people’s mind

WWE World Heavyweight Champion actually came out to set his record straight. Winning the world heavyweight title is dream come to for him. He is also waiting for defending his world title. He reminded he was successfully retained his world title by beating the man from whom he was actually won the title. He is the Big Show. However, people started insulted him but Daniel Bryan signalled them to wait for a moment. He confirmed that Big Show deserved the rematch by considering how he was beaten by him. In fact if somebody is there instead of him as champion, that person simply concentrate on another challenger but not Daniel Bryan. As a fighting champion, he does not want to end his first title defence in that way.

Daniel Bryan wants to win the match legally by either pinning or tap out Big Show. That’s why he agreed to face him in No Countout No Disqualification match. However, WWE Universe again started insulting him. WWE World Heavyweight Champion does not want to see people like this. Some people think Daniel Bryan made Mark Henry attacked him and he said those people are wrong. That’s why at last Monday night Raw, he gave a rematch to Big Show at anyplace or anywhere. He was thrilled to inform it to Teddy Long and finally they are going to face each other for WWE World Heavyweight Championship title in this wrestling edition. In order to avoid such disturbances, they decided to face each other in No Disqualification and No Count out match.

In fact, physically that match is excess to him and he said all of problems come from one man Mark Henry. People booed Mark Henry. He said if Mark Henry interference in his match, then Mark Henry could be suspended from WWE. Hall of Pain Boss Mark henry came out with people boos. The world’s strongest man entered into ring with a microphone.

Daniel Bryan offers a match to Mark if Henry doesn’t interference in his match with Big Show

Mark Henry asked him; did you say I should be suspended? Daniel Bryan replied yes. He later said; did you consider I should be suspended for what he did to him last week? The world’s strongest champion said Big Show asked him a match by getting permission from Theodore Long. The same thing, he is going to do it. Henry did not think it was wrong but blamed him by considering it was entirely Bryan’s fault. Because of Bryan’s insult, he was tempted to put his hand on him. For the same right, Mark Henry could be banned from ringside. WWE World Heavyweight Champion felt very happy and supported GM’s decision. He would like to meet Theodore Long to promise that he does not interference in world title match if GM offers him a rematch at next week.

Daniel Bryan wants a clarification from him. In other words, if Daniel beats Big Show, then he should defend title against Mark Henry next week. Mark Henry simply said yes. World Heavyweight Champion publically said he doesn’t have a problem with that.  

At January 6, 2012 Friday night Smackdown edition, Justin Gabriel attacked Heath Slater to save Hornswoggle, even punished his former friend with a 450° splash. Heath Slater seriously considered it and faced him in this wrestling edition. Justin Gabriel came out with wrestling fans good support. Lilian Garcia announced a wrestling match, introduced Justin Gabriel and in few moments, Heath slater came out to face his former friend.

• Heath Slater Vs Justin Gabriel

Capetown Werewolf applied side headlock, shoulder block, surprised Slater with arm drag, applied shoulder breaker quickly, turned same hand but received a punch to face in return. Heath Slater also punched to him, step up kick to chest, clothesline but Justin Gabriel surprised him with a headscissors takedown, performed another arm drag, diving punch but Handsome guy converted it into atomic drop. The Thriller punched to face, kicked at knee, another punch to head but in return knife edge chop at a corner. Justin punched him, received a kick to midsection and Slater powerfully pushed him towards an opposite corner and performed jumping neckbreaker, connected knee top backbone and applied chin lock.

Justin Gabriel delivered an elbow to midsection, roundhouse kick to knee, another roundhouse kick to chest, spinning heel kick to face but the One-Man Southern Rock Band mesmerized him with a spinebuster. He argued with match referee about pin fall and goes to top rope but shocked seeing the appearance of Hornswoggle in ring. Even match referee did not observe it. Justin Gabriel utilized it, dropkicked to face and performed 450° splash and then pinned him.

WWE Universe including Hornswoggle felt very happy and appreciated him. Lilian Garcia promulgated Justin Gabriel is winner of this match. He continued celebrating his victory and even Hornswoggle played a game with Heath Slater. WWE Universe cheered them.

AJ Lee proposes to Daniel Bryan

WWE World Heavyweight Champion was seriously doing some preparation exercises at backstage. In few moments, AJ Lee came there and they hugged each other. Bryan said it is good to see you and vice versa. AJ Lee said sorry for interrupting him but said so proud of you. Daniel said thanks. AJ Lee said I Love You to fighting champion. He replied wow thanks AJ.

Cody Rhodes wants to win Royal Rumble to hold both World title as well as Intercontinental title

WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes attended to this Friday night edition. He disrespected English language pronouncing English language with grammatical mistakes. He reminded he has been Intercontinental Champion for the last five months. He is not in the list of greatest wrestling superstars like Pedro Morales, Tito Santana, your friend Booker T, his old brother Goldust but in 2012 his goal to become greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. Similarly, he wants to pull the Ultimate Warrior. Just like Ultimate Warrior, he wants to go to home as Intercontinental Champion as well as World Heavyweight Champion. Cody Rhodes plans to start it at 2012 Royal Rumble. According to history of WWE Intercontinental championship, he is now at 29th position in list of WWE Intercontinental Champions.

In few moments, Ezekiel Jackson came out as his opponent. Lilian Garcia announced a wrestling match and introduced him to WWE Universe. As we already know, Rhodes was actually become Intercontinental Champion at August 12, 2011 Smackdown edition by beating the same superstar that he is facing in this wrestling edition.

• Ezekiel Jackson Vs Cody Rhodes

Dashing one applied side headlock to start this match but the Guyanese Goliath tosses him. Rhodes escaped from suplex, kicked at midsection, performed the Silver Spoon DDT, kicked on backbone, punched on forehead, kicked on chest, knee kick to midsection, punched to face, another kick to midsection and continued kicks him at same place. Intercontinental Champion applied chin lock but Jackson powerfully tosses him. Big Zeke delivered a shoulder block, powerfully pushed him towards two corners, then clothesline, several punches to midsection, forearm smashes on back, power slam, planned to punish champion with torture rack but received a punch to face. Rhodes kicked at midsection, twisted ankle to make him fall on second rope, connected Beautiful Disaster, performed cross rhodes and pinned him to win this match.

Dashing superstar collected WWE Intercontinental Championship title from match referee, kissed it, showed it to people and Lilian Garcia promulgated Cody Rhodes is winner of this match. He continued celebrating his victory in front of WWE Universe by raising it over his head.

Santino Marella explains his plans to improve Smackdown

The new assistant to Smackdown General Manager would like to explain Santino originals, for example steel cage match but not the cage match. In that cage, there will be a Giant cage, inside that there will be a medium cage and inside that one there will be a little cage. The referee will be in all the cages. Theodore Long did not like it. He later explained another one, Santino Marella and Theodore Long with former superstar Jack tony but Smackdown GM did not like it much. Santino Marella wants to explain another but in few moments David Otunga came there. GM wants to know why he is come to Smackdown.

As a legal councillor of Interim General Manager of Raw SuperShow and executive vice president of talent relations Mr. John Laurinaitis came to this event to discuss about Royal Rumble pay per view. He would like to switch back Smackdown superstars to Raw and brought a list for their convenience. He wants to know pros and cons. Santino Marella got an idea for a match to prepare a feature video for 2012 royal rumble match. Santino Vs David Otunga. GM appreciated for his smart idea and gave permission to them.

Theodore Long gives final warning to Drew McIntyre

Somebody knocks the door, Teddy Long thought that person would be Aksana. He checked his breath, gave permission to come but shocked seeing Drew McIntyre. Drew wants to tell something. Theodore Long doesn’t want to listen to him, reminded McIntyre got high salary but no result. He reminded Drew McIntyre gets closer to getting fire. He also reminded his match will be next and does not want to hear anything from him.

As we already know, On January 6, 2012 Smackdown event, the Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long decided to fire Drew McIntyre but gave a final chance to prove but because of steel ring pole shot, he could not beat Santino Marella and explained it to GM. Teddy Long considered his explanation and gave one more chance by conducting a match with Ted DiBiase.

The Chosen one was already ring and waits for his opponent to save his career in WWE. Ted DiBiase came out to face him. Lilian Garcia introduced him as Drew’s opponent. Surprisingly, Hunico and Camacho attended to this match and joined Smackdown commentary as special guest commentators. As we already know, Hunico pinned Ted DiBiase last week in a match.

• Ted DiBiase Vs Drew McIntyre

McIntyre kicked at face, kicked to midsection at a corner where Drew punched as well as kicked at midsection repeatedly, received a step up kick to chest and then Ted tosses him to outside of the ring. The Fortunate Son performed a suicide dive but the chosen one dropped back on side of the ring. He again performed spinebuster on edge of the ring, entered into ring with DiBiase, increased pressure by sitting on back, kicked at middle rope, turned neck, received some elbows to midsection but the leader of the Ted DiBiase Posse surprised him with big boot. McIntyre got injured with a corner by planning to attack him. Ted surprised him with atomic drop, clothesline, then rebound clothesline, tried to perform a high flying move but the chosen one attacked him in air with a clothesline.

Drew McIntyre lifted him to top rope, forearm smash on back, received an elbow to face but delivered some forearm smashes, planned to perform back body drop from top rope but received an elbow and got injured by following on top rope unfortunately. The Million Dollar son utilized this opportunity, performed with Dream Street and pinned him successfully.

Ted DiBiase felt very happy and WWE Universe appreciated him by cheering him. Lilian Garcia promulgated Ted DiBiase is winner of this wrestling match. Ted DiBiase continued his celebration. Hunico and Camacho were also appreciated him. However, Drew McIntyre talks to match referee but match referee did not listen to his explanation.

As we already know, Jinder Mahal assaulted the great white Sheamus with Wade Barrett in January 6, 2012 Smackdown event but Sheamus defeated Jinder Mahal after delivering a brogue kick to face in a tag team match at January 9, 2012 Monday night Raw SuperShow. However, they faced each other in this wrestling edition.

The Great White Sheamus came out and received outstanding ovation from WWE Universe. Lilian Garcia introduced him to wrestling fans. In few moments, Jinder Mahal also came out to face him. Jinder Mahal said in Hindi language, he is going to win Royal Rumble match. In fact no one expects Jinder Mahal wins the Royal Rumble and said he is the most dangerous man.

• Jinder Mahal Vs Sheamus

Sheamus kicked at midsection, well handled with several forearm smashes on spine, also several punches to face as well as midsection. He knee kicked to midsection, received a reverse elbow but attacked him with a short arm clothesline, another clothesline, decided to perform Celtic cross but Mahal simply left that ring. However, the great white attacked him with an elbow clothesline. The Irish Curse performed slingshot shoulder block but Jinder connected reverse elbow to face, kicked at midsection and injured him by pulling down his throat area on top rope, connected step up knee to face twice, kicked at kidney area, high knee drop on shoulder, received a punch but did not give chance to his opponent with a step up knee to face twice.

Jinder Mahal performed a swinging neckbreaker, applied chin lock, received a reverse elbow but connected a knee kick to stomach area twice, forearm smash on spinal area, forearm smash on chest, applied chin lock again, converted it into neck lock but the great white surprised him with back bodydrop. S.O.S delivered repeated forearm clubs to his opponent’s chest, then belly to belly back suplex, high flying shoulder block, connected brogue kick to face powerfully and pinned him successfully.

WWE Universe felt very happy and appreciated him for his victory. The Smackdown ring announcer promulgated Sheamus is winner of this match. Similarly, match referee was also raised his hand.

Match referee explains rules of No Count Out & No Disqualification to Big Show

The Big Show was doing a warm up exercises at backstage to get prepared for his match. Match referee explained rules to the world’s largest athlete. The Giant humbly replied to him that you need to explain rules but all he has to do is ringing the bell when he pins Daniel Bryan. In few moments, World Heavyweight Champion’s girlfriend AJ Lee came there to talk to Big Show. Match referee understood and left that place as per her request.

AJ talks to Big Show about Daniel Bryan

Big Show said hi to her and also received hi from her. The Giant asked her what can I do for you AJ? AJ wants to talk to him about Daniel Bryan. She would like to him good tonight but knew it as competition, for title and Big Show can do whatever he wants to do but worried about Bryan by considering his attitude. The world’s largest athlete understood her, does not want to hurt Bryan but wants to get back his title but in few moments WWE World Heavyweight champion came there.

He questioned them what it is this? Daniel Bryan joked him do you want to take my girl before my title? However, he said you are going to take title as well as my girl. WWE World Heavyweight Champion suggested Big Show to leave that place to facilitate privacy. The shortest WWE World Heavyweight champion in WWE history guaranteed it he is going to take his title and left that place.

Daniel Bryan asked AJ are you ok? She said ok. He asked another question; was he trying to intimidate you? She said no. Daniel Bryan promised her to protect from any harm. She was so impressed. Bryan talked about her proposal and wants to know how much she loves him!

David Otunga was already in ring. Lilian Garcia announced a wrestling match, introduced David Otunga and then also introduced his opponent current assistant to Smackdown General Manager Santino Marella. Santino Marella got awesome support wrestling fans.

• Santino Marella Vs David Otunga

The Milan Miracle slapped Otunga, then applied neck lock but David Otunga delivered repeated shoulder blocks to him at a corner, clothesline; Marella tried to pin him but got a powerful clothesline. David A-List Otunga kicked on chest repeatedly, elbow drops on chest, applied a clutch but received some punches. David Otunga got injured by hitting to a corner was Santino escapes from him. The Italian Stallion blocked his punch, delivered repeated punches to his opponent. Santino Marella performed hip toss, high flying headbutt o kidney area, wore a sock, tried to give a cobra but David surprised him with falling neckbreaker and pinned him.

David Otunga felt very and continued celebrating wrestling fans in front of WWE Universe. Lilian Garcia promulgated David Otunga is winner of this match.

Lilian Garcia introduced The Funkasaurus and Brodus Clasy debut on Friday night Smackdown finally. He attended to wrestling fans amazing support with two dancers. He performed a dance show with two young ladies. Tyson Kidd was at outside of the ring and watches their performance with strange.

• Brodus Clay Vs Tyson Kidd

Brodus Clay surprised to oncoming Tyson kidd with a headbutt to midsection, surprised him with Fall of Humanity and pinned Tyson Kidd.

Lillian Garcia promulgated Brodus Clay is winner of this match. The Mastodon of Mayhem again danced with dancers in ring to entertain wrestling fans. Theodore Long was also enjoyed it from his office but got attention observing the arrival of Aksana.

Teddy Long said sorry for his dance. He wants to know how she is. Aksana said ok and also asked him the same question. Teddy Long said you look beautiful tonight. Aksana said thanks to him. She asked him about Brodus Clay. Theodore Long said, yes it is his debut. She was so excited to see Smackdown edition next week at Sin City, Las Vegas. She said I love to hit on black but suddenly Teddy Long vomits. She asked him about his health and he said I am alright.

Natalya was already in ring. In few moments, Tamina came out with wrestling fans good support. She introduced with wrestling fans. Lilian Garcia introduced her to fans. As we already know, Tamina defeated Natalya in a divas match at January 6, 2012 Smackdown edition but Natalya claimed a rematch and got it.

• Tamina Vs Natalya

Natalya slapped Tamina, performed a vertical suplex but Tamina destroyed her with a Samoan drop, hits head to ground, performed Superfly Splash and then pinned Natalya successfully.

Lilian Garcia promulgated Tamina as winner of this match. Tamina celebrated her victory with wrestling fans amazing support.

Wade Barrett issues a challenge to Sheamus

Wade Barrett attended to Friday night, signalled people to calm down, and observed some of the people are impressed with a wrestler so-called the great white Sheamus. However, he was not much impressed but said he has a temper problem. He said I am the man of class, dignity, civility; control his temper of all time. Wade Barrett revealed he is going to win 2012 royal rumble. Therefore he wants to challenge Sheamus at Sin City Smackdown next week. He is much interested to something to him at Sin City. He said thanks to people and said May God saves queen.

Daniel Bryan retained his World Heavyweight Championship by facing Big Show by disqualification because of Mark Henry’s interference at January 6, 2012 Smackdown edition. However, The Big Show attended to Raw SuperShow on January 9, 2012 after Daniel Bryan’s victory. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan understood why he came out but satisfied him by granting a rematch in this wrestling event. Because of Giant’s past week experience, he made their match No Disqualification and No Count out rules match.

Smackdown ring announcer announced no count out no disqualification world heavyweight championship match. The world’s largest athlete Big Show came out to get his opportunity. In few moments, WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan also came out to defend his title against his opponent. Similarly, Daniel Bryan’s girlfriend AJ Lee also attended to this special wrestling match. Lilian Garcia introduced Big Show as well as World Heavyweight Champion to WWE Universe. Match referee collected title belt from champion, showed it to WWE Universe and started it officially.

• Big Show Vs Daniel Bryan in No Disqualification, No Count out World Heavyweight Championship match

Daniel Bryan offered shake hand to start this match respectfully. The world’s largest athlete Big Show shakes hand but lifted him over his head, dropped him to behind, open arm chop to chest, kicked into midsection, open arm chops on chest, tossed his body aside, headbutt, open arm chop on chest at a corner. The Giant delivered headbutt, pushed him towards a corner where Daniel Bryan dropkicked him twice, performed a diving move but Big Show surprised him with a spear in air. AJ Lee was in shock. Match referee checked condition of current World Heavyweight Champion.

Big Show lied Daniel Bryan on announce table, open arm chop on chest but in few moments Daniel Bryan attacked him with a steel chair. He punished him with several punishing steel chair shots. However, the world’s largest athlete punched that steel chair. Daniel Bryan shocked when Big Show takes that steel chair. World Heavyweight Champion signalled not to do it but dropkicked him when Big Show enters into ring. He again continued assaulting his competitor with same steel chair but received a kick to midsection. The world’s largest athlete pushed him into ring, entered into ring with steel chair but the fighting champion did not chance to him and kicked him on head.

Daniel Bryan handled him with repeated roundhouse kicks to chest but Big Show blocked it and surprised him with an open arm chop. The American Dragon dropkicked on knee, repeated roundhouse kicks to face, a steel chair shot to midsection, DDT on steel chair but received an open arm chop while he plans to perform a roundhouse kick. The shortest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history attacked him with clotheslines, dropped his body on him at a corner, shoulder block, decided to chokeslam him but world’s champion attacked knee, decided to attack him with a steel chair but Big Show punched it.

Daniel Bryan left that ring. Similarly, Big Show left that ring and gave a forearm smash on backbone. He then cleaned announce table, decided to chokeslam on announce table but firing champion comes back into action with several roundhouse kicks. Daniel Bryan attacked him with steel chair shots, tried to perform diving move but got an open arm chop to chest. Daniel connected roundhouse kicks, punches but Big Show tried to attack him but unfortunately AJ got injured in that chase by Big Show.

Match referee checked condition and in few moments trainer came out and checked condition. Big Show was cried by seeing his mistake. Similarly, Daniel Bryan also checks his girlfriend condition. WWE Doctors came out with a movable stretcher, carefully send her to local hospital and match referee advised Big Show to control his emotion. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan seriously considered it; blamed Big Show for his accidental mistake and Giant was unable to control his emotion. In this way, World Wrestling Entertainment ended this edition.
