Exactly nine days ago of SummerSlam 2010 pay per view, Dolph Ziggler defeated Kofi Kingston to become new WWE Intercontinental Champion in Smackdown edition with the help of the official consultant of Smackdown Vickie Guerrero. However, Kofi Kingston claimed a rematch and world wrestling entertainment also granted permission to him by arranging an Intercontinental championship match in this summer wrestling pay per view.
