As we already know, Alberto Del Rio won eight man Raw money in the bank ladder match to become 2011 Mr. Money In The Bank and reserved a guaranteed WWE Championship title opportunity at Money In The Bank wrestling pay per view on July 17, 2011. On same night, CM Punk defeated John Cena to become new WWE Champion but the former chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment Mr. McMahon ordered Alberto Del Rio to cash his Money In The Bank briefcase to protect WWE Championship title from CM Punk. However, CM Punk attacked Alberto Del Rio and left WWE with WWE Championship title belt.
However, Mr. McMahon conducted WWE Championship tournament with Raw Money In The Bank ladder match participant in July 18, 2011 Raw event but Alberto Del Rio could not go to finals but John Cena captured WWE Championship title belt by defeating Rey Mysterio in July 25, 2011 Raw event but on same night CM Punk re-signed on his WWE Contract and appeared as WWE Champion in front new WWE Champion. However, Triple H solved their problem by arranging Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 2011 wrestling pay per view.
At SummerSlam 2011 pay per view, CM Punk defeated John Cena to become new Undisputed WWE Champion but attacked by legendary wrestler Kevin Nash after that match. Alberto Del Rio utilized this opportunity by bringing a match referee and cashed his Money In The Bank contract. Match referee officially started this match. Alberto Del Rio delivered a step up enzuigiri to new Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and pinned CM Punk to become new WWE Champion and celebrated his memorable victory with wrestling fans.
