Cody Rhodes Vs Booker T for WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE TLC 2011
At December 9, 2011 Friday night Smackdown, Booker T was on his way to act as commentator but WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes attacked Booker T from behind and seriously injured. After that WWE officials involved to save him, then helped Booker T to take him to backstage for immediate medical attention and later WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes revealed why he attacked Booker T. He has been disrespected by Booker T’s commentary every week at Smackdown. Hence he decided to teach a lesson to him about respect. On same night the Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long seriously considered his actions and arranged an Intercontinental Championship match for Cody Rhodes with legendary Booker T at Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2011 pay per view.
Booker T received a punch but punched at midsection, knife edge chops as well as punches to face several times, connected reverse elbow to coming opponent, performed body slam twice, superkick to face, eliminated him to outside of the ring where he delivered a knife edge chop, received a punch but delivered punch to midsection, knife edge chop to chest, hits head on barricade, pushed WWE Intercontinental champion into ring but attacked by Dashing One while entering into ring. They both were unable to perform belly to belly suplex but Cody Rhodes damaged neck of Booker T with top rope. He quickly attacked the legendary five times WCW World Heavyweight Champion with flying punch and Booker T was fallen to outside of the ring.
Rhodes delivered a forearm smash on backbone, punched to face, hits him to barricade, punched at stomach powerfully, entered into ring along with Booker T, reversed him, applied shoulder lock but Booker comes back into action punching at abs but Intercontinental Champion delivered a kick to chest, then kicked on right knee, applied full nelson but The former 5-time, 5-time, 5-time, 5-time 5-Time WCW Champion connected reverse elbow to face, knife edge chop to chest, received a punch but once again connected reverse elbow to face at one corner. Later, they both attacked each other with double clothesline.
They both exchanged punches. Cody kicked at midsection but Master of the Spin-a-Roonie delivered a flying punch to face. He later controlled Rhodes with clotheslines, side slam, performed spinebuster and performed spin a roonie one more time in ring, kicked at midsection but Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes escaped from Ghetto Blaster, then reverse kick but surprised Booker T with Beautiful Disaster. He became frustrated, again performed Beautiful Disaster and pinned The Booker-man and retained his WWE Intercontinental Championship title.
