Dolph Ziggler Vs Zack Ryder for WWE United States Championship at TLC 2011
The Long Island Loudmouth Zack Ryder defeated WWE United States Champion in a non-title match with the help of his fan and Guest star Hugh Jackman in September 19, 2011 Raw SuperShow. Similarly, he got a United States Championship match to Vengeance but unable to win the championship because of the All American American Jack Swagger. At December 5, 2011 Raw SuperShow, John Cena defeated Zack Ryder in social experiment match, qualified to WWE Championship match at TLC pay per view but met Interim General Manager John Laurinatis, sacrificed his opportunity to give a chance to his friend Zack Ryder and John Laurinatis cancelled John Cena’s opportunity and arranged a No Countout and No Disqualification match between Mark Henry and Zack Ryder.
Zack Ryder defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry with the help of John Cena and become new #1 contender of WWE United States Championship title and reserved it at WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2011 pay per view. He also defeated Dolph Ziggler in a tag team match in December 16, 2011 Friday night Smackdown.
Zack Ryder reversed U.S Champion twice, received a reverse elbow at one corner and Dolph Ziggler applied side headlock, delivered shoulder block to control him but caught. The Long Island Loudmouth performed snake eye, eliminated to outside with clothesline, performed plancha, hits head on one side but however United States Champion connected elbow to face and then hits head on one side of the ring. Vickie Guerrero was so impressed and encouraged her man. He kicked on chest, neck repeatedly, performed Inverted body slam, elbow drop on chest several times, jumping elbow drop on neck but his punches blocked by Ryder and Zack delivered some punches to face but received a kick at midsection.
Dolph Ziggler connected reverse elbow to face, hits head on ground in ring, did abdominal exercises to mock his opponent, applied chin lock, received a punch to midsection and then face but connected reverse elbow to face. He performed Olympic slam, lifted to top rope, slapped by received a slap in return. Long Island Iced-Z drop kicked Dolph Ziggler from top rope, connected reverse elbow to face, performed flying forearm smash, clothesline, Sitout facebuster, connected elbow to his opponent at one corner, Broski Boot to face but Vickie Guerrero puts Ziggler’s leg on bottom rope. Match referee seriously considered her illegal actions, ordered her to go to backstage but in Ziggler was in shock.
Dolph Ziggler injured neck of Zack, performing a stunner on top rope but #1 contender of US title escaped from leg drop bulldog. However, Dolph Ziggler kicked at knee, then delivered leg drop bulldog, unable to perform sleeper hold but connected heel kick, went to top rope but his lower part got injured when Zack attacks him. #1 contender was successful in delivering top rope Headscissors takedown but Dolph did not want to lose this match. Later, Ziggler converted momentum of his opponent into snake eye. However, Zack Ryder did not give chance to his opponent with corner elbow smash, performed Rough Ryder and pinned Dolph Ziggler to become new WWE United States Champion but was in shock. However, he celebrated his memorable victory with wrestling fans.
