WWE Raw General Manager William Regal would like to include The Brian Kendrick in 2008 Royal Rumble but ordered him to wrestle with undefeated Umaga at WWE Monday night Raw edition on January 21, 2008. The Brian Kendrick shocked by seeing Umaga as his opponent in this wrestling edition.

The Brian Kendrick decided to show his best but seriously injured by the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga with his power game. However, Umaga did a mistake by jumping onto steel ring pole within wrestling ring. The Brian Kendrick decided to use this opportunity to control the Umaga with his extreme wrestling performance.
