2009

WWE Tag Team Champion

On January 9, 2009 in Smackdown edition, The Miz seriously considered injuring his tag team partner John Morrison in a tables match and attacked Triple H with Chavo Guerrero. However, Smackdown general manager Vickie Guerrero appointed The Miz and Chavo Guerrero as opponents of Triple H’s second match which is a handicap match. The Miz hardly tried to defeat Triple H but Chavo Guerrero does not support him at the ending of this match. The Miz lost his match to Triple H. On January 12, 2009 in Raw edition, WWE Tag Team champion The Miz faced Rey Mysterio in one on one wrestling match but lost his wrestling match to Rey Mysterio.

On April 7, 2009 in ECW edition, The Miz and his tag team partner John Morrison teamed up with Tyson Kidd to face Evan Bourne and WWE Unified tag team champions Carlito and Primo in six man tag team match but lost their tag team match.

Raw Wrestler

On April 13, 2009 in Raw edition, The Miz faced Kofi Kingston but lost this match to Kofi Kingston mainly due to John Morrison’s interference. However, WWE drafted The Miz to Raw brand. The Miz shocked but attacked his tag team partner John Morrison.

On August 24, 2009 in Raw edition, The Miz faced Santino Marella and The Miz defeated Santino Marella. The Miz later gave a warning to WWE United States Champion Kofi Kingston. Similarly, The Miz also announced himself as next new WWE United States Champion.

On September 13, 2009 at Breaking Point Pay Per View, The Miz challenged Kofi Kingston for WWE United States Championship but unable to win that wrestling match. However, The Miz teamed up with Jack Swagger again to face Primo and WWE US Champion Kofi Kingston in a tag team match on September 14, 2009 in Raw edition. The Miz collected Kofi Kingston’s U.S title belt and simply returned to backstage but his tag team partner Jack Swagger defeated them.

On September 21, 2009 in Raw edition, The Miz attacked by Kofi Kingston. Kofi Kingston collected his title belt. The Miz faced Evan Bounre and defeated Evan Bourne successfully. Later, The Miz appeared during a match between Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston to steal WWE U.S title again but The Miz attacked by Jack Swagger.

WWE United States Champion Kofi Kingston face The Miz at WWE Superstars on October 1, 2009 and successfully defeated The Miz but attacked by Jack Swagger after this match.
