On January 29, 2010, the straight edge society members CM Punk, Luke Gallows and Serena interrupted the conversation of Rey Mysterio and D Generation X to claim unified tag team championship but DX insulted them. They surprised when Smackdown general manager cancels their unified tag team championship match with DX.

On February 23, 2010 at NXT, the straight edge society’s founder CM Punk selected Darren Young as his NXT rookie but discouraged with CM Punk’s rookie’s failure against David Otunga. Later, the straightedge society decided not give much priority to Darren Young.

At extreme rules main event on April 25, Luke Gallows and Serena involved in CM Punk’s hair match to divert the concentration of high flying superstar Rey Mysterio but send by the match referee to backstage. However, someone has attacked Rey Mysterio to help CM Punk. They later enjoyed CM Punk’s victory against Rey Mysterio.
