WWE Undisputed Championship is a title belt which represents either WWE Championship and World Championship title or two Championship titles. In other words, WWE superstar who accomplishes both WWE Championship title and World Heavyweight Championship title is known as WWE Undisputed Champion. Similarly, WWE wrestler who wins either two WWE titles or two world titles is also known as undisputed Champion as per WWE history.
History:
In 2001, World Wrestling Entertainment acquired its competitor World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and conducted a title unification match at Vengeance pay per view on December 9, 2001 and Chris Jericho beat The Rock to win WWE Championship title and also beat Stone Cold Steve Austin to win WCW World Heavyweight Championship and become first ever WWE Undisputed Champion but lost to Triple H at WrestleMania X8 on March 17, 2002.
Later Hulk Hogan from Triple H, The Undertaker from Hulk Hogan, The Rock from the Undertaker and finally Brock Lesnar from The Rock wins the undisputed championship title at Backlash on April 21, 2002, Judgment Day on May 19, 2002, Vengeance on July 21, 2002 and August 25, 2002 respectively. Running both Raw and Smackdown with a single champion created some problems to World Wrestling Entertainment. However, undisputed title called as WWE title by becoming sole property of Smackdown from September 2, 2002.
