As per WWE Raw Guest Host Maria Menounos arrangement, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and John Cena challenged in a triple threat match for Raw team membership on October 12, 2009 Raw. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase concentrated on John Cena. John Cena understood situation and attacked both wrestling superstars. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase later attacked John Cena with hand punches.

John Cena recovered from injuries and surprised both wrestlers with double closeline. However, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase attack John Cena again with hand punches and leg shots. Legacy damaged back of John Cena with back suplex. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase completely focused on John Cena. Legacy continued their domination to seriously damaged back of John Cena.

Legacy did not give chance to John Cena. John Cena injured Cody Rhodes by throwing over steel steps. John Cena comes back into action but there is no use. Cody Rhodes interrupted Ted DiBiase’s pin fall. John Cena eliminated Cody Rhodes to outside but received a drop kick. Ted DiBiase made a mistake by hitting to steel ring pole. Cody Rhodes tried to use this advantage but failed.

John Cena surprised by suplexing both wrestling superstars. John Cena eliminated Cody Rhodes to outside again. John Cena destroyed both challengers. John Cena applied STFU over Ted DiBiase. Suddenly, Randy Orton came to divert concentration of John Cena. Cody Rhodes used this advantage and defeated Ted DiBiase.
