On July 20, 2009 at The Great American Bash, World Wrestling Entertainment introduced WWE Divas Championship title belt. WWE conducted a wrestling match between Michelle McCool and Natalya. Michelle McCool became first ever WWE Divas Champion by defeating Natalya.

At Survivor Series on November 21, 2010 Natalya defeated Lay Cool in two on one handicap match to become new Champion.
