Word Wrestling Entertainment presented WWE Raw edition at London, United Kingdom on April 20, 2009 for WWE Raw wrestling fans. Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole are official commentators for this wrestling edition. Lilian Garica is an official ring announcer for this wrestling edition.
WWE Raw brand ring announcer Lilian Garcia introduced Chris Jericho to this wrestling event. Chris Jericho insulted wrestling fans by stating wrestling fans as cheaters. Chris Jericho said, i was drafted to Smackdown and this is my last appearance in Raw. Wrestling fans did not appreciated his intelligence and did not understand why he is the superstar of the year. Similarly, wrestling fans did not consider him as honest man as per Chris Jericho’s statement. According to Chris Jericho’s open statement, things will chance in Raw due to lack of Chris Jericho. However, wrestling fans beg him to return to Raw edition within six months but Chris Jericho will not come to Raw in future.
In few moments, the legendary WWE Hall of Famer Ricky The Dragon Steamboat music hits and appeared when Chris Jericho decided to return to backstage. Ricky Steamboat entered into ring and said, Chris Jericho you are wrong. Ricky Steamboat remembered wrestling fans’ love and appreciation at WrestleMania. Actually, Ricky Steamboat did not expect that much of response. Probably, it is Ricky Steamboat’s great moment in his wrestling career as per his statement. Wrestling fans won’t give appreciation if Chris Jericho asks them but Ricky Steamboat gives him. Ricky Steamboat said thanks to Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho shocked and asked reason.
Ricky Steamboat replied Chris Jericho, he actually performed his greatest wrestling performance at WrestleMania mainly due to the toughness of Chris Jericho. His toughness encouraged Ricky Steamboat to show his wrestling standards again. That’s why Ricky Steamboat came to this wrestling event to say thanks to Chris Jericho. Ricky Steamboat decided to return to backstage but Chris Jericho stopped him. Chris Jericho said, you actually came to repeat the past one more time. Chris Jericho insulted Ricky Steamboat by saying let me remind You are finished. Similarly, nobody cares about you as per Chris Jericho’s statement. Chris Jericho remembered his teammates Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper and Ric Flair’s destruction at WrestleMania. Similarly, he would like to do same thing to Ricky Steamboat.
Chris Jericho challenged Ricky Steamboat an one on one match at Backlash 2009. Chris Jericho decided to finish him if he accepts his challenge. Chris Jericho questioned Ricky Steamboat. Ricky Steamboat things but WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena’s music hits. Wrestling fans gave amazing response to his presence. Chris Jericho surprised for his presence. Chris Jericho ordered John Cena to stop right now. Chris Jericho said to John Cena, i know why you come here. Chris Jericho said, you may talk about this legend because you are the fan of Ricky Steamboat but it is the last appearance in Raw. So, Chris Jericho finished business with John Cena, Ricky Steamboat and Raw fans. Ricky Steamboat accepted his challenge.
John Cena has a message because Vickie Guerrero is not here. Vickie Guerrero said to John Cena, Edge is not competed tonight but she also said, John Cena has to compete tonight. John Cena said, Y2J Chris Jericho’s last act on Raw is a match tonight with him. Chris Jericho shocked and returned to backstage.

After this wrestling match, Shane McMahon met Batista at backstage. Batista and Shane McMahon appreciated each other. Shane McMahon suggested Batista to focus on Backlash 2009.

After this wrestling match, Santino Marella appeared. Santino Marella said, he lost his match to The Great Khali. Similarly, his sister Santina Marella is going to participate in Khali’s Kiss cam. Santino Marella called her sister Santina Marella. People believe Santina Marella and Santino Marella both are same but it is crazy. Santino Marella requested her sister Santina Marella to show actual fact. Santina Marella is unable to attend to this Raw edition due to affect of Great Khali. Santino Marella asked Santina Marella where are you right now? Santina Marella said, i am in Italy. Santino Marella encouraged her sister to participate in Great Khali’s show. Santina Marella apologized for this discouragement.
Santino Marella read his family poetry. In few moments, Beth Phoenix music hits and appeared with Rosa Mendes. Beth Phoenix apologized for his sister’s problem. Santino Marella said, it happens to the best families. However, Beth Phoenix talked to Vickie Guerrero and Vickie Guerrero granted permission to arrange Great Khali’s kiss cam at Backlash 2009. Santino Marella did not accept her proposal but Santina Marella wants to do this. Santino Marella ordered WWE to stop presence of her sister. Santino Marella said to Beth Phoenix, you never be Miss WrestleMania. WWE Women’s Champion Melina interrupted their conversation by appearing this event.

World Wrestling Entertainment showed the preparation of WWE Champion Triple H at backstage. Someone knocks door. Shane McMahon came and said Good luck to Triple H. Shane McMahon talked about six man tag team match at Backlash 2009. Shane McMahon positively responded about Batista’s performance. Shane McMahon instructed Triple H not to count out or disqualify from match. Triple H said, i control myself.

After this wrestling match, Rated R Superstar Edge speared John Cena and destroyed his head with powerful steel chair shot. Edge counts 10 count but announced himself as new WWE World Heavyweight Champion to show the preview of Backlash 2009′s last man standing match.
