WWE Raw – February 16, 2009
World Wrestling Entertainment presented WWE Raw edition on February 16, 2009. This is first Raw edition after No Way Out 2009 pay per view. Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were official ring announcers. Lilian Garcia is an official ring announcer for this Monday night weekly wrestling edition. This Raw edition builds story for WrestleMania XXV pay per view.
John Cena praised last night Raw elimination chamber match. However, Edge won Raw elimination chamber match to become new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Vickie Guerrero also impressed by John Cena’s compliment. John Cena congratulated new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Edge and Vickie Guerrero felt very happy for John Cena’s respect. John Cena said, Edge is the Rated R superstar. Edge is really really lucky and right place right time. John Cena claimed a rematch. Edge and Vickie Guerrero shocked and wrestling felt very happy. Edge said to John Cena, i competed not 1 elimination chamber match but two.
As per Edge’s statement, nobody had done that. Edge said, i am not completing tonight. Edge also said, i may not compete for a week or a month. Edge said to John Cena, if you to see me and my lovely wife Vickie Guerrero, will be on Smackdown. John Cena understood situation and agreed with Edge. John Cena suggested Edge to take rest by going to Smackdown. John Cena said to Vickie Guerrero, Edge is a World Heavyweight Champion officially and i should have a rematch officially. Edge impressed by seeing John Cena’s sense. Edge said to John Cena, i think you forgot history john.
Edge remembered his memory with John Cena i.e Edge cashed his Money In The Bank to become first WWE Champion by defeating John Cena. Edge also remembered, i slapped your father. Edge strongly decided not to give a rematch to John Cena. Edge mocked John Cena by saying that the champ is here. John Cena pulled Edge and said to Edge, i will find you if you try to hide. I will catch you if you try to run. Later, WWE Smackdown General Manager Vickie Guerrero and her husband WWE World Heavyweight Champion Edge returned to backstage.
WWE Executive Vice president Shane McMahon appeared on screen. Shane McMahon wants to fight with Randy Orton in an unsanctioned match. As per Shane McMahon, WWE does not have responsibility about this fight.

After this wrestling match, World Wrestling Entertainment showed Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon. Stephanie McMahon shocked by listening Shane McMahon’s decision. Stephanie McMahon worried about Shane McMahon’s health because Shane McMahon already faced Randy Orton in No Holds Barred match last night. However, Shane McMahon wants retribution. Stephanie McMahon said to her brother Shane McMahon, Randy Orton did not in hospital last night. As per Stephanie McMahon’s emotional expression, Shane McMahon’s health condition is not good. Shane McMahon did not listen Stephanie McMahon and left that room.

Shawn Michaels can only face the undefeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Actually, Shawn Michaels’s career closed previously mainly due to The Undertaker. So, he is interested to face The Undertaker. John Bradshaw Layfield also interested to face The Undertaker. So, Shawn Michaels gave solution to their problem. Shawn Michaels challenged JBL a match next week Raw to earn right to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV. JBL felt very happy and accepted his challenge. Shawn Michaels insulted John Bradshaw Layfield and returned to back stage very happily.
