WWE Smackdown – April 16, 2010
World Wrestling Entertainment presented Friday night Smackdown weekly wrestling edition on April 16, 2010 to entertain wrestling fans. Matt Striker and Todd Grisham were official commentators for this wrestling event. This wrestling event’s story was built by WrestleMania XXVI main event and builds story for Extreme Rules 2010. This is 556th Smackdown edition as per WWE wrestling history.
Y2J Chris Jericho music hits and appeared in this wrestling edition. Chris Jericho was in very aggressive mood. He would like to tell his internal feelings slowly and normally to give a better understanding to wrestling fans. Randy Orton belongs to Raw. However, Randy Orton reserved a World Heavyweight Championship match with Jack Swagger at Extreme Rules Pay Per View but World heavyweight title should belong to Smackdown brand. Actually, world title gets gloriousness when he holds the title. He hopes wrestling fans can understand what he is actually saying to them.
Chris Jericho talked in technical point of view, which means Chris Jericho should have rematch against Jack Swagger but he does not have till now. Actually, the Smackdown brand General Manager Theodore Long has offered rematch on same night but he reject to accept that opportunity due to lack of perfect physical fitness. Chris Jericho would like to tell the reason why he is not accepted that proposal. Chris Jericho blamed the general manager Theodore Long. He demanded Theodore long resign his job immediately. Otherwise, he has to arrange a match with extreme rules’ world heavyweight champion. Even, wrestling fans are unable to understand him.
In few moments, the Rated R Superstar Edge’s music hits. Wrestling fans has given amazing response to his presence. Edge was shocked by listening his open statements. He supports one of the Chris Jericho’s statement, which means world title should belong to the Smackdown. However, he is also into similar thinking but he would like to bring that title to Smackdown. In other words, Edge is not considering Chris Jericho as not the right person to save the title. The reason is Chris Jericho has received several spears from Edge in last month.
Edge has requested Chris Jericho to his that opportunity to him. If he gives opportunity to him obviously none of the Raw brand Superstar can hold world title. Chris Jericho wondered after listening his words. Y2J Chris Jericho understood that Edge is thinking he can beat Randy Orton and Jack Swagger. Edge knows he can. If Chris Jericho wants to see the proof then he is ready to spear him to prove. Wrestling fans supported Edge by chanting his name. They were ready to intimidate each other. In few moments, the Smackdown General Manager music hits to solve their problem.
Theodore Long was unable to understand why Chris Jericho hates him. Chris Jericho clarified that if Teddy Long does his job he does not want to hate him. He demanded Theodore Long to give the opportunity to prove him. Actually, if he wants to give what Chris Jericho wants then he can throw Chris Jericho out of the building. Actually, Randy Orton could not receive title shot if Chris Jericho defeats Edge in #1 contender’s match last week. Actually, Chris Jericho does not have any right to take the decision but Theodore Long has it.
Theodore Long has given an opportunity to Chris Jericho to face Jack Swagger in a world heavyweight championship match. Chris Jericho felt very happy. Chris Jericho appreciated Theodore long for his right decision. Chris Jericho promised WWE Universe to get his title back and would like to defeat Randy Orton at extreme rules. Chris Jericho also clarified that Edge never gets another shot because Edge has lost his match to him at WrestleMania XXVI. Theodore Long would like to correct Chris Jericho.
Theodore Long knew Edge can keep world title in Smackdown by considering his glorious journey in Smackdown. The Smackdown general manager surprised Chris Jericho by including Edge as also one of the challengers. In other words, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger has to face Chris Jericho and Edge in a triple threat world heavyweight championship match in this Friday night Smackdown edition. Chris Jericho was shocked by Edge felt very happy.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre came and would like to tell something to United Kingdom’s fans. He said; the people do not like him because he is young, handsome and Intercontinental Champion. If the people don’t like him, he also does not want to like them.

Unfortunately, Matt Hardy entered into wrestling ring to further injure WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre but received a chock slam from the big red machine Kane.
WWE Smackdown General Manager types something in his cell phone. In few moments, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger has come to Theodore Long’s office aggressively. Both look into their eyes. WWE World Heavyweight Champion blamed the general manager by considering his decision seriously. Theodore Long has given a warning to him because he is the General Manager of Smackdown and ordered him to follow his rules in order to hold his title.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger destroyed Edge with powerful power bomb and then raised his title in order to send a message to Randy Orton indirectly. Chris Jericho seriously damaged the surgically repaired injured knee with steel ring pole and then steel steps with frustration.
