WWE Smackdown – April 9, 2010
World Wrestling Entertainment presented WWE Friday night Smackdown edition on April 9, 2010 to entertain wrestling fans. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were official commentators for this wrestling main event. This wrestling main event built based on WrestleMania XXVI builds story for Extreme Rules 2010 wrestling pay per view.
The Smackdown ring announcer Tony Chimel invited new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger to this Friday night Smackdown edition. Jack Swagger attended to this wrestling event and received mixed response from wrestling fans. The World heavyweight champion signaled wresting fans to maintain silence in order to tell something to wrestling world. He said; last week I shocked wrestling world by cashing money in the bank briefcase to become your new world heavyweight champion. In other words, Jack Swagger defeated Chris Jericho on April 2, 2010 Friday night Smackdown edition.
He also talked about the #1 contender’s match between Chris Jericho and the Rated R Superstar Edge. Winner of this wrestling match has to face the world champion in a title match at Extreme Rules 2010. However, he does not want to know winner because he is ready to face any one of them. He is very confident about his victory at upcoming pay per view. He considered himself as better man than every one. He understood that some of the wrestling fans do not want to see him as world champion but he does not to care about them.
As per his confident statement, there is no WWE Superstar can stop his momentum. He talked about Shawn Michaels again. In other words, the legendary career of Shawn Michaels is over at WrestleMania XXVI. He recognized himself as natural superstar in the WWE. Actually, Jack Swagger strongly decided to be champion. Suddenly, the guru of greatness John Morrison’s music hits. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger was shocked. John Morrison entered into wrestling ring to tell something to champion.
John Morrison shocked by seeing Jack Swagger as world champion. He said; he got luck for one night and make him champion. That’s why John Morrison does not want to consider as champion. He showed the highlights of Jack Swagger’s match with Randy Orton. In that match, Randy Orton presented RKO and defeated Jack Swagger. He mocked champion by talking about Jack Swagger’s haircut, nickname and speech. Jack Swagger seriously reacted by listening his words. John Morrison laughed by seeing the reaction of World Champion. Jack Swagger considered John Morrison as shadow of Miz and tried to attack John Morrison but John Morrison eliminated champion to outside of the ring.

World Wrestling Entertainment showed Chris Jericho and his Rookie Wade Barrett at backstage. Y2J Chris Jericho talked about stealing art of Jack Swagger. Chris Jericho would become #1 to get his title back. Chris Jericho considers still champion. In few moments, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger came and questioned Chris Jericho and Wade Barrett that did you see that? Jack Swagger talked about his championship match against Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho tried to take title belt from Jack Swagger but Jack Swagger did not give chance to him. Chris Jericho tried to intimidate him but he is not.
Cryme Tyme music hits. Shad Gaspard appeared and Tony Chimel welcome him to this Friday night Smackdown event. Wrestling fans were silent. Shad Gaspard showed his failure against R Truth and John Morrison in last week Smackdown edition. He blamed JTG as reason for his failure. He asked wrestling fans like that? He encouraged people to be like just like him but also encourage people not to behave like JTG. He officially announced the end of Cryme Tyme but he also announced that this is my time. In few moments, JTG came and tried to attack Shad Gaspard but received a boot shot just like last week.

Darren Young Joins in Straight Edge Society
CM Punk music hits, the straight edge society members CM Punk, Serena and Luke Gallows attended to this Friday night Smackdown edition with NXT Rookie Darren Young. Luke Gallows and Serena brought a steel chair and shaving kit respectively. Wrestling fans insult the straight edge society in their own style. CM Punk said something in Serena’s ear. Serena took microphone from her savior to give a message to wrestling world. She started their show by insulting wrestling fans. As per her statement, people are spending meaningless lives.
She encouraged wrestling fans to find the greatness of straight edge. She is the right example for the straight edge life. CM Punk said something to Luke Gallows in his ear. As per his savior’s order, he would like to tell something to wrestling fans. The moment of realization gives pain. When Luke Gallows realizes, he considers straight edge is the right way for his glorious future. Finally, he was saved when he accepts CM Punk as his savior. CM Punk finally took microphone from Luke Gallows to give his message to wrestling world.
CM Punk considers every wrestling superstar as weak and powerless people. He blamed people’s life style. However, he would like to save them. Similarly, he would like to give chance to everyone to stand near to him by joining in Straight edge society. Actually, he finds fear and loneliness when CM Punk sees into Serena and Luke Gallows’s eyes. Similarly, he is also seeing loneliness and fear in people’s eyes. Now, CM Punk sees loneliness in Darren Young’s eyes. CM Punk has explained their benefits of joining in straight edge society.
CM Punk talked about Darren Young’s failures in NXT competition. Darren Young was upset. Actually, CM Punk did not give much priority to Darren Young’s wrestling matches in NXT. However, now he would like to give amazing encouragement from this day onwards. CM Punk has offered a choice to Darren Young to join in Straight edge society. Darren Young understood and sat on chair to dedicate his life to CM Punk. CM Punk considered Darren Young’s hair as his weakness.
CM Punk encouraged Darren Young to accept straight edge into his life. Straight edge means no more drinking, no more smoking, no more late night parties and no more losing. CM Punk talked about his hair. His hair represents straight edge. Darren Young was so excited due to CM Punk’s motivating words. Darren Young raised his hand to dedicate his life to straight edge society but dropped suddenly. Darren Young surprised CM Punk; he does not want to join in straight edge.
CM Punk seriously reacted but threw by Darren Young. Luke Gallows quickly responded and attacked Darren Young. CM Punk and then Serena seriously punished Darren Young when Luke Gallows holds Darren Young’s hands back. CM Punk decided to shave Darren Young’s head forcefully. Surprisingly, Rey Mysterio music hits. The straight edge society alerted immediately. However, Rey Mysterio attacked CM Punk and then Luke Gallows. Rey Mysterio decided to shave head of CM Punk. Luke Gallows and Serena saved CM Punk by pulling him out of the ring. Rey Mysterio accepted CM Punk’s challenge.
Rey Mysterio gave a warning to CM Punk. In other words, he is not only wanted to beat him and also decided to shave his head at Extreme Rules. The high flying superstar decided to put an end to straight edge society. Rey Mysterio also decided to give 619 to his challenger.
