WWE Smackdown – January 8, 2010
World Wrestling Entertainment presented WWE Smackdown weekly wrestling edition on January 8, 2010. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker were official commentators for this Smackdown edition.
The animal Batista music hits and appeared in this wrestling edition. Batista requested a spot light. As per his request, WWE provided a spot light. Later, he requested WWE to hit the music. As per his request, WWE hits his music and then the animal Batista entered into wrestling ring. He said that we are in 2010 but things are not changed. He also said that all wrestling fans are still insulting him. Similarly, teddy long also suppressing him.
He said that teddy long did not take any action when Rey Mysterio involved in his match. However, the animal appreciated the official consultant of Smackdown Vickie Guerrero for her intelligent decision. He announced himself openly as rightful world heavyweight champion. He would like to demand an explanation from WWE Smackdown general manager Theodore Long. However, teddy long did not come.
Surprisingly, Rey Mysterio music hits. Wrestling fans gave excellent response to his presence. Rey Mysterio would like to tell the reason why Batista is not a world heavyweight champion. As per his statement, Batista is blinded due to selfishness and greed. He considered Dave Batista as crying baby. Batista became very serious and said that he beat Rey Mysterio. He clarified his doubts, which means he stated that Batista involved in his championship match with the undertaker two weeks ago.
He does not want to complain anyone because he is ready to face his challenge Batista. Rey Mysterio cleared that if u scared I am going to beat you again. Rey Mysterio asked the WWE universe. As per their response, Batista scared to face Rey Mysterio in this Smackdown edition. Batista became very serious and decided to face him in this wrestling edition to tell whether he scares or not.

At backstage, World Wrestling Entertainment showed Beth Phoenix with WWE Women’s champion Michelle McCool and Layla. They apologized for their mistake last week. Later they insulted Mickie James in front of Beth Phoenix by stating her name as Piggie James. Beth Phoneix did not want to waste his time but she stated that I have a match with you layla.
At backstage, WWE showed Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho talked to the hart dynasty members Tyson Kidd, Hart Dynasty and Natalya. He praised himself in front of them. He also talked about his bad experience with hart dynasty. The Hart Dynasty clarified that they are ready to something.
