WWE Smackdown – March 5, 2010
World Wrestling Entertainment presented WWE Smackdown weekly wrestling edition at Wichita, Kansas on March 5, 2010 to entertain wrestling fans. Matt Striker and Todd Grisham were official commentators for this wrestling main event. This wrestling edition is 550th Smackdown edition and this episode name is “Painful Promises”. This wrestling main event builds story for WrestleMania XXVI main event and the past wrestling pay per view for this Smackdown edition is Elimination Chamber 2010.
WWE Smackdown brand ring announcer Tony Chimel invited 2010 Royal Rumble winner Edge to this wrestling main event. Edge received excellent response from wrestling fans. Edge said, WrestleMania is in 23 days. He would like to consider Chris Jericho as his opponent at WrestleMania. Edge commented on the common statement of Chris Jericho, which means Chris Jericho says I am very dangerous man and he is the best in the world that what he does. WWE World Heavyweight Champion would like to hurt and beat him at WrestleMania.
However, he was speared twice by the rated r superstar. Edge would like to spear until their wrestling match every week. Wrestling fans also supported the Edge. In few moments, WWE Unified tag team champion and former f
riend of Chris Jericho that is The Big Show music hits. Actually, Chris Jericho has given the Unified tag team championship titles to big show when Edge was seriously injured. The Big Show proudly showed his titles to wrestling fans and then entered into wrestling ring.
Edge appreciated the big show for his pleasant surprise. The rated r superstar talked about his match with The Miz in last week Smackdown edition. The Miz was also speared by the edge. The Big Show smiled. The 2010 Royal Rumble winner also talked about their wrestling match. So, he would like to give a spear to the big show in this wrestling edition. The Big Show and Miz are actually searching for their opponent for WrestleMania main event. The Big Show says, edge got luck to defeat the miz.
The Big Show said, in their wrestling match edge’s luck can be worked. He also said, edge has to know he is going to spear the largest athlete on this planet. Similarly, he knew the big show is the most dominate superstar in the history. Edge interrupted him by saying I think you knock me. The Big Show promised him, he does not want to knock him. Edge mocked for his body smell. Edge openly said, at WrestleMania I am going to become World champion. However, he is going to spear the big show in this event. The big Show immediately alerted but he did not.
The Big Show did a mistake by attacking the edge but the ultimate opportunist eliminated him over the top rope by pulling the top rope. Edge later simply returned to backstage happily.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre shocked and looked at WrestleMania XXVI banner by standing at outside of the ring. Wrestling fans insulted the champion. Drew McIntyre damaged the announcement table. Later, he said to Smackdown brand commentator Matt Striker that I would be at WrestleMania. The Champion later kicked the steel steps and returned to collect the WWE Intercontinental Championship title belt. Later he left that place with frustration.
WWE showed John Morrison’s background work in his training room in a television. Slam Master J impressed by seeing that video. Slam Master J showed his six pack to John Morrison. In few moments, R Truth came with his rookie David Otunga, who was actually lost his match to Darren Young in WWE NXT on March 2, 2010. R Truth introduced David Otunga to John Morrison. Later R Truth motivated John Morrison to win the Money in the Bank ladder match. They both decided to become the Unified tag team champions.

At backstage, Rey Mysterio presented gift to his daughter. Suddenly, Tiffany came. Rey Mysterio said, welcome to Smackdown. Rey Mysterio introduced his daughter Aalyah. Similarly, Tiffany interacted with his daughter. Rey Mysterio encouraged her daughter to see his match in television.
The Straightedge society music hits. Luke Gallows come to his wrestling match with Serena and CM Punk. CM Punk said, kids love Rey Mysterio and buy his masks to encourage their super hero. The captain of the straight edge society openly said, rey Mysterio is not a super hero. CM Punk said; Rey Mysterio is an average parent. Last week, people supported Rey Mysterio’s cheap trick. Rey Mysterio does not face him man to man but he used cheap tricks.
Due to his trick, he is unable to become three times straight edge money in the bank winner. CM Punk forgave Luke Gallows but does not want to forgive rey Mysterio. CM Punk encouraged Luke Gallows to take revenge for his last week actions. CM Punk said, you are not just fighting you or me but you are fighting for entire society. Luke Gallows understood his boss and decided to face Rey Mysterio. In few moments, Rey Mysterio music hits.

At backstage, WWE Unified tag team champion the big show met world heavyweight champion and his former friend Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho congratulated his former friend Big Show. The World Heavyweight Champion also talked about his fine tag team partner The Miz. The Champion appreciated the big show. The Big Show understood what he is expecting from him. Chris Jericho encouraged the big show to Chockslam and knock edge with his powerful punch.
The Big Show does not want to punish edge for Chris Jericho. Chris Jericho shocked by seeing his behavior by forgetting their friendship. The Big Show later left that place but WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho smiled by seeing the big show.

At backstage, new WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool and Layla met the official consultant Vickie Guerrero. Michelle McCool said thanks to Vickie Guerrero and presented a T Shirt to her. In few moments, the most dominant diva of Smackdown Beth Phoenix came and requested Vickie Guerrero a title match against Michelle McCool but Vickie Guerrero rejected her proposal and she does not even conduct a woman’s championship match.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho tried to attack the edge with his title belt but edge escaped intelligently and speared Chris Jericho third time. Edge once again said; Chris Jericho got once more spear. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho understood situation and simply returned to backstage.
