Match History:

WWE Co-General manager Eric Bischoff reserved a wrestling match between Bill Goldberg and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H at WWE Wrestling Pay Per View SummerSlam on August 24, 2003 but another WWE Co-General manager Stone Cold Steve Austin included Kevin Nash, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels by conducting six man elimination chamber match. Actually, Stone Cold Steve Austin announced Elimination Chamber II match in front of wrestling fans and these six wrestlers after a wrestling match between Bill Goldberg and Ric Flair on August 4, 2003 WWE Raw edition. Bill Goldberg destroyed Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Shawn Micahels and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H in Elimination Chamber match at SummerSlam 2003 but Bill Goldberg lost elimination chamber match to Triple H mainly due to Triple H’s sledgehammer shot. After WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, Randy Orton, Ric Flair and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H destroyed Bill Goldberg cruelly.

On August 25, 2003 during WWE Raw edition, Bill Goldberg challenged WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H a one on one wrestling match for WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Triple H accepted Bill Goldberg’s open challenge but granted permission to Bill Goldberg to face him at WWE Unforgiven 2003 under one condition. Bill Goldberg should not wrestle in any wrestling ring if Bill Goldberg lost WWE World Heavyweight Championship title match to Triple H at Unforgiven 2003. Bill Goldberg took risk and accepted his challenge. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) officially confirmed their challenge by conducting a one on one wrestling match at WWE Unforgiven 2003. In this mean time, Bill Goldberg faced Evolution including Triple H with the help of Maven and Shawn Michaels at WWE Raw on September 1, 2003 and also faced Triple H and Ric Flair in a handicap match at WWE Raw on September 8, 2003. Bill Goldberg speared Triple H in Triple H’s Goind Away Party at WWE Raw on September 15, 20o3. Finally, Bill Goldberg defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H to become new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Unforgiven 2003.
